He's really not.

His risks of having a stroke are relatively low. Sure he's obese, but that's an easily ameliorated risk pharmacologically. He doesn't have any of the signs of uncontrolled diabetes.

He doesn't smoke or drink which are the primary contributing factors for a whole host of things. It's really difficult to overstate how bad those two things are for you.

so like we look at him and see this shambling husk of a man, but he doesn't have any of the risk factors you'd associate with dropping dead. Besides being a fatass of course. like the complications of testosterone abuse aren't going to kill him dead.

Your largest risk factors for stroke are diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease.

He doesn't have any visible s/sx of diabetes.

Hypertension is easily treated.

He doesn't smoke or drink so his heart is probably relatively okay, even considering the obesity.

Yeah, this is the reason I'm filled with hope whenever I read reports about how something or someone made Trump furious: people are a lot more likely to have a heart attack or stroke when stressed/angry. The older they are, the higher the risk.

I personally don't think 'closing the border' would have as much of an effect as Herstory Begins Now is implying

Because Border Patrol would be so completely undermanned for the task of managing the frankly incomprehensible amount of 'smuggling' that would occur in response, and is corrupt enough that they would probably do the bare minimum to get a couple "Chaos at the Border" stories onto CNN and basically let everything else happen BAU.

At his age and with his diet, he probably has diabetes, though it's mostly treatable until it gets very bad.

Don't forget the obvious hyperlipidemia he has (he takes a statin for it, which probably has saved his life so far). Bill Clinton had a CABG or two and recovered fine, so this isn't likely to have much effect until his 80s. Treatment for these conditions doesn't negate the stroke risk though, fwiw. You still calculate the stroke risk using the risk points.

If statins were never invented, a lot of your parents and grandparents would probably be dead, but so would Trump.
