I'm gunna switch over then since that promo still works and it's a 4th of what I pay now. e: so far so good, same speeds way way cheaper. shoulda done this a while ago. zer0spunk fucked around with this message at 21:18 on Apr 7, 2019 |

If anyone wants to get even cheaper, UsenetExpress has a $55 for 2 years unlimited deal https://members.usenetexpress.com/signup?coupon=55for2 They're one of those providers that has a small local retention and then buys ~1100 days of retention from another provider. NewsDemon and NewsgroupDirect (the same guy owns all or part of all three companies) will match any offer, so you can mail their support and get the full 3800+ retention for the same price.

I'm trying to add Hydra2 as an indexer into Sonarr and it's not working. When I do a manual search in Sonarr I get zero results, despite Hydra testing ok in the indexer tab. Is there anything special I need to do when adding Hydra2?

I just set it up on my own box this past weekend and it works fine.

Kind of strange that searching in Hydra2 directly would give results that are missing in Sonarr but I'll manage.

So I have hydra running, but one of the new (to me from .org) places has all these things saying don’t use hydra, or if you do be careful and not grab the nzbs with hydra. And then they're super helpful and say "If you are interested why, you likely already know the reason." Why does it matter to them?

Hmm, so as of this morning i've been getting the following error in SABnzbd. Decoder failure: Out of memory I tried reducing the article cache all the way down to 200MB but the same error keeps happening. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I've tried deleting my queue, restarting everything and even updated to the latest SABnzbd version, but no joy. Everything was working perfectly last night so i've no idea what's changed.

Colostomy Bag posted:Thanks all. I've been using Usenet.Farm's cheapo option, since they frequently run sales of 20%-30% off, and you can pre-pay for additional months; plus my internet speed isn't great, so a cap of 6Mbps isn't really losing much. They only have a 75 day retention for all records, plus 500 days for popular stuff, but so far it's been good for my needs when combined with Blocknews block purchases for long-retention backups.

According to this: https://sabnzbd.org/wiki/introduction/known-issues#toc2 you shouldn't run it as a service, other than that did you check if you ran out of disk space? I don't think a lot of people here run sab anymore, so you may not get much traction.

Any notable benefits of Nzbget over sab? There's not currently any nzbget plugins for FreeNAS, so I doubt I'll actually try it unless it's got some really nice advantages because It looks like there is an NZBHydra plugin, though, so I should probably try setting that up.

The last time I checked out Nzbget, I was unable to download an NZB through my web browser, tell it to "open with" Nzbget, and have it appear in my download queue. I never had that problem with Sabnzbd so I never got rid of it. Did that ever get fixed? The fact that you couldn't open an nzb file and have it queue up?

# ? Apr 12, 2019 22:49 |

If it doesn't work for you, you can tell it to monitor your downloads folder for any NZBs that get dropped in.

NewsDemon is running a Game of Thrones promo https://premium.newsdemon.com/got-promo/ Current deals: Unlimited + VPN for $3/month 500GB/Month + VPN for $2/month 1TB non-expiring block for $8 The deals change each week. I signed up back during the season 7 premiere when they had a 70% off special that came out to $27.60 a year. Maybe they'll have 80% off for season 8.
