F1 cars cost around $15 million though this is a Williams shitbox so maybe more like $5 million

Both of these are region locked. Anyone got a mirror?

Is that any good? The trailer makes it look like Bioshock except you're an OSHA inspector.

I'd suggest watching the LP count_von_count linked over playing it yourself. It's a slightly more involved than usual walking simulator with really obtusely hidden (and missable!) content. SelenicMartian plays through it with a guide in his lap and even then he sometimes has to go back for poo poo he overlooked. It's interesting to watch, but I'd hate myself playing it.

Yeah it combines the gameplay of a walking simulator with the pixel-hunting of the worst sort of point and click games. Cool concept though.

Few issues here: older car, less underside downforce, and F1 also goes faster and generates more downforce.

It's because it's a true turbojet instead of a turbofan(which passes a lot of cooler air through it as well), much hotter (and faster moving?) exhaust, also slung low to the tarmac because it's a fighter.

e; fixed, thanks

Now you know how I don't like to use the sit-down gun, but this morning we just don't have time for mucking about.

It's a true turbojet instead of a turbofan, you mean. And yeah, with any competently designed jet engine, high exhaust heat is the same as high exhaust speed.

The Baku street circuit for F1 had a little issue with manhole covers not being welded down well enough, so the aero from the cars would actually suck them up, into the car.

Who the hell thought that was a good idea? "Let's strap an injured person to an animal that is easily frightened and hard to control once it is frightened."

SelenicMartian
Sep 14, 2013

Sometimes it's not the bomb that's retarded.

I've been an uninjured person on an animal who firmly believed that every wet stick in a puddle was a snake out to get it. I stayed uninjured though the experience mainly by being stubborn and confusing the horse.

You can recreate the experience at home by riding a bicycle which has one wheel and explosives for tires.

Yep, dummy, rescue demonstration, Russia.

quote:

During a rescue demonstration in Russia, a team of rescuers show us how to transport an injured person on a stretcher using a horse. Unfortunately, The demonstration does not go as planned. The horse panicked, and starts galloping trying to get rid of the stretcher with the injured – doll.
