Be more careful with technic knockoff sets that have lots of rods, gears and cogs. The tolerances are just slightly off, but it's enough that on complicated mechanisms sometimes they don't work at all. Look up the reviews of the carousel or ferris wheel for examples.

Lepin was predictably lower quality than official lego bricks but still significantly jigger quality than most knockoffs. Being able to make basically indistinguishable UCS sets should be a pretty good indicator of that, to be honest, otherwise stuff like the UCS super star destroyer which is over 3 feet long would simple disintegrate under its own weight
