Anyway so why did missandy euthanise herself? Just really into prophecies? I feel like if you kill yourself because a prophecy says that what happens it's not really a proper prophecy. Is it a prophecy if I say I'm going to make a piece of toast in ten minutes and then do it? Feels like there need to be other forces involved.

"I helped your horsemen last an extra 10 seconds" and "I said something to Arya" don't seem like they would hold much weight against Davos "if I see you in the North again I'll execute you myself"

But really you can just chalk it up to religious stupidity I guess

So who else is gonna die before this is over? They can't just do Cersei, Mountain, Qyburn, Urine and call it a day, right? But the way they pussied out with the battle there's no way they're going to kill anyone anyone likes so who's even left in terms of chaff. I put like two thirds of the cast up as dying in our work death pool which seems, uh, unlikely at this point.

They leaned pretty hard into pairing up some of the characters, so for Shock Value expect at least 1 of each of the following pairs to bite it: Arya/Gendry, Sansa/Tyrion, Dany/Jon, Tormund/Brienne/Jaime

Sam isn't important enough to have an impact if he dies, Davos is too much of a Noble Honorable Man to die, Bronn is too much of a fan favorite. Mayba Yara dies ramming her ship into Euron's?

Probably they'll recruit whichever of the Dorne ladies are still alive (if any) to fight and they will die too.

If they wanted to kill any substance characters, last episode was definitely the one to do it in. Now anyone who dies, it's like "you survived the zombie apocalypse just to get ganked by normal-rear end Golden Company soldiers? What a chump"

Yeah it would have been great to watch Davos get his revenge. But she knew that was her last day, she knew firemagic and that was useful against a enemy weak to fire, but after the swords she could barely light a log on fire, she wouldnt be useful against cersei and Davos would have gutted her without anyone to stop him.

Urine kills one main character before being killed, likely Brienne or Tormond for either slot here. Mountain kills the Hound possibly the Hound kills him also but probably Arya finishes him off.

Qyburn dies to Sam, but his magic and creations will kill a dragon.

Cersei, Jon, Dany, Jaime. 4 enter the final episode, 2 leave.

Edit: Grey Worm will die fighting some golden company or Kings guard poo poo.

Podrick dies but is ressurected at the end.
Sam dies defending gilly and the kid
Cersei kills jaime and sansa
Jon dies and dany dies avenging him

Tyrion takes the throne, Davos becomes the hand of the king

Can't see them killing Grey Worm after he survived this ep. It doesn't feel like killing anyone in a relationship is still in the cards and it would be kinda hosed if they killed their one remaining nonwhite dude. But this is guessing blindly. Ah we'll see.

Changing my theory Sam will have a meal from Hot Pie and become gay abandoning Gilly. Gilly kills Sam. Arya kills Gilly because she wants to avenge Hot Pies lover. Jon kills Arya because Sam was one of the nights watch. Sansa kills Jon. Dany kills Sansa. Tyrion kills Dany. Grey Worm kills Tyrion.

This will be next episode obviously.

Okay sorry but I do not understand this.
There's a hundred ways this didn't have to be her last day and I don't think it's a sure thing Davos would have killed her.
Also it doesn't really make sense why the logs wouldn't light as easily as the swords. Did she run out of mana and had to wait for it to top back up?
Actually it's because her god just likes some dramatic tension.
Also also she took off the necklace before for a dramatic reveal and it didn't kill her but this time it does in 15 seconds?

You can write everything off with "it was prophecy". What was the point of John being a Targ and having a magic sword, one of three than can kill the night king and nothing comes of it? Ah, it was all prophecy. 4d chess. He had to be there to let Arya be here and that means Bran is over her because fate. It's just poo poo writing.

HILARIOUS poo poo writing, but what irks me is that everyone thinks its the most brilliant thing ever. We're all hear laughing at this poo poo but literally everyone else is nodding their heads and rubbing their chins and going, "This is absolutely the pinnacle of what we can get out of the media."

...

Everyone will adore the next few episode no matter how trash they are. When people latch onto a fandom it doesn't matter how poo poo it gets because that BECOMES their identity so they'll never criticise it because that'd be a bad reflection on themselves.

essentially, yeah. companies basically deliberately inflame fandoms now because people make it their identity and suddenly they can't sit back and say, hey, i didn't like this and i thought it was bad. there's this running theme these days that stories must be unpredictable to be good, and it wholly depends on how far the writers take it and how accurately they can predict the audience's acceptance of dumb plot decisions. but what you get is this race for the bottom of storytelling. it's a really bad thing that writers pay attention to fandoms now and, like with westworld actively go out of their way to write things the audience does not predict (but you know GoT and other shows and series do it too, look at TLJ), because all you end up with are weird stories where nothing matters and things happen as the plot demands.

it doesn't help that if the fandom begins to sour, then all you need to do is play the political polemic card. there are already thinkpieces online saying that if you don't like arya killing the night king than you're just an alt-right chud who hates strong women.

it's not about the show, basically. it's about identity.
