I was going to post about the demise of YMND but Its from 2001. Maybe next year we should start up a PYF Early 2000s things. But that made me wonder, what were the first places to host memes or even just Memes? Honestly the first thing I could say was a meme was All Your Base Are Belong To Us, but that again is from 2000s, so there has to be stuff from before that.

If we say the first few seasons of SNL are the golden age, would you agree that the early 90s era was the golden age? Like it was probably the most culturally during the Mike Meyers/Adam Sandler/Dana Carvey/Phil Hartman era. Speaking of that, I highly recomend watching Too Funny to Fail, the story of the Dana Carvey show. its facinating how they set it up to be a huge failure, but it was also made up of basically who comedy will be in the next decade. I remember watching the first episode and going "what the gently caress is going on? Is Bill Clinton feeding puppies with nipples on his body??? This is amazing but why is it on after Home Improvement?"
