There has been a very easy method to avoid these situations that people have employed for a long time. It's called waiting for the pregnant person to say "Do you want to feel the baby kick?". It boggles my mind that people think they should ask that question. Like maybe a child might ask it and that's fine, but an adult?

Yeah even asking "hey can I fondle your uncomfortably pregnant belly for a totally not-creepy reason like feeling a baby kick" is loving weird for unrelated adults. I can see a kid asking, or like a sister-in-law, but not random adults.

That's what gets me the most, like if you went up to random non-pregnant strangers and started palming their stomach they would understandably get upset but because she's pregnant her body belongs to you? And then they always have the nerve to get all lovely about it, like you should just let them pat you like a fuckin cow or something. How DARE you make them feel awkward about making you feel awkward And yeah, the thing about Black hair. I remember going to a primarily white junior high and had class with a mixed-race guy who had finally had enough of the white kids touching his afro and finally hollered "I'M NOT A loving DOG! STOP TOUCHING MY loving HEAD!" Good for him. I went looking for pregnancy stories- this one was actually posted a couple months ago when it was new but one little bit stood out to me re: the current topic: quote:AITA for (as a white woman) touching a black woman's hair? I guarantee this woman didn't learn a loving thing and is sniffing butt-hurtedly about how 'sensitive' everyone is. But at least that answers my question, people who touch other people without permission 'don't mind' when it happens to them, so it's okay apparently. Get your head out of your self-centered rear end.

Parents started looking for a groom a year later because in their words, they couldn't see me go through that again. I gave up all hope of finding love like my ex and just went along with whatever they said. It wasn't ideal. I'd never recommend what I did to anyone. But my husband feels like the one. OP posted:I completed my medical degree in India because I had a pretty good score and was granted entry into a medical school. Was pretty drunk on the night of the wedding. Like I said, the first few months of marriage were just terrible cause honestly I just wasn't over my ex. Husband was extremely supportive and it was difficult for him too since he is/was pretty conservative despite being in America for more than half his life. My husband is a practicing Muslim. We have had discussions where we've agreed that we won't push the other person to do anything outside their beliefs. Ergo this past Ramadan while he fasted, I didn't. I was respectful of his fast and only ate while he was at work or he'd leave the house for a while so I could have lunch. Worked brilliantly. Unfortunately I told my mom how happy I was that I found someone who understands that I'm not a religious person. Things got pretty ugly. She texted me saying I'm a pig, that I eat like a pig and other variations of the same. I told her that I wouldn't tolerate her speaking to me that way. She basically said she doesn't care and hasn't spoken to me in a month at least. Tythas fucked around with this message at 19:03 on Jun 11, 2019 |

man sorting by controversial is a gold mine AITA for expecting my daughter to watch a movie with the family even though she’s working? quote:Ok hear me out. My daughter works online and makes her own schedule. Today I planned for the family to watch a movie together including my daughter (she’s here for the weekend). So I tell my her what I planned and she said she has to work since she didn’t get anything done this weekend so she’d like to get atleast a few hours in but would try to free some time if she can. I check back a little later but she is still working and I say we’re starting the movie in 10min and is she going to come or not? And she said sorry she’s pushing her deadlines and can’t just stop working for 3 days straight. I got annoyed by that and took her tablet computer and said if she doesn’t wanna spend time with the family then she should atleast go do something healthy for once (she spends hours upon hours on that thing). She got pissed and reluctantly went to the living room and watched it with us but didn’t seem happy about it at all. that Just crossed the line for me, it’s just rude and immature to be all pouty about it. So afterwards I said I’d give her computer back but I wouldn’t allowed her internet access for the remainder of her stay (I think this is reasonable as she is using the internet I am paying for). And she said fine but she still has work to do so she’s heading home early. I don’t see why she can’t just accommodate for her shedule it’s not like she has a boss to fire her but instead she has to be pouty and leave. AITA? AITA for asking my pregnant wife to dress more modestly? quote:My wife is 5.5 months pregnant with our first child. She recently ordered some maternity dresses which were sort of provocative. I mean like, so skin tight, that you can see the outline of her belly button in some of them. You can see the outline of every body part (breasts, rear end, thighs) and her bump sticking out clearly. Even though she's not revealing any skin, because of the way her body is shaped (thin with big tits and hips, with the belly bump) it makes her look quite sexual. I don't want her to attract the wrong kind of attention because I know how men think, and there are some weird people out there with pregnancy fetishes, etc. I do notice other men looking at her when we're out and it makes me uncomfortable. Also, in our culture, the bump is supposed to be covered otherwise it could attract the 'evil eye'. She shows her bump on purpose, and I'm questioning why, it's almost like she knows she gets attention and enjoys it. I don't want my wife/unborn baby to be sexually objectified by random men so I told her she should dress comfortably, and modestly and now she is upset with me. AITA? AITA for displaying a heirloom confederate battle flag in my private office? quote:I have an antique confederate battle flag framed in my home office. The flag has quite a storied history.
