Hasn't annual US inflation been well below 2.5% for most of the decade?

COL pay increase fuckery is one of the more insidious ways businesses gently caress over workers and it pisses me off so badly. Though honestly I probably wouldn't even mind that much if they didn't make me write a ten page essay where I have to BS how awesome I am as an employee every year.

the fed is supposed to try to keep it between 2-4% but yes the past several years its been under 2.5% because the economy is still utterly hosed from 2008

I think what I like about modern surrealist Heathcliff is how deadpan it is through its absurdity. Nobody in that comic seems surprised by Heathcliff's antics in the slightest. Not one face is like "bwah whuuuuuuh?" This is normal.

Why is Dethany smiling all the time when her boss is yelling abuse at whoever she's speaking to? I remember there was a strip where she told a poor sap that the boss wanted to see them and was smiling too when the employee came out thoroughly chewed out. It just makes her come across as an rear end in a top hat or someone who gets off from other people's misery.

That's right, he tried to turn Funky Winkerbean into a Garfield-style media property (Or at least get an animated spinoff like Foob or Family Circus). Honestly everything that isn't worship of Lisa, First of the Dead is him bitching about something.
