I liked "The Enemy" It had a neat parallel plot going on with the contrasting attitudes of the two Romulans, I kind of hope that Centurian Bach's interactions with Geordie were the instigating event that will result in the still strained but friendlier relations in Deep space 9.

The not-so-secret part of why this is the best TNG edit. You in particular might not want to watch it just yet but it's not a huge deal. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocPQKjuCqM0

I really, really like all the Romulan plot threads going through the TNG-Era stuff. It's a real bummer that Picard seems to be keeping the Romulus Blew Up idea from the 2009 movie. Also the TNG Warbird is the coolest bad guy spaceship ever made. It's such a great design.

Watching Mudd's Women and the special make-up and creature effects on actor Jim Goodwin are remarkable. I wonder what kind of alien he's supposed to be ?

Funny thing I just discovered, though. The dying Romulan in sickbay who refused a transfusion from Worf because he "would rather die than pollute [his] blood with Klingon filth" was named Patahk. Did this episode predate the first use of petaQ or...? Was one inspired by the other?

The Romulan Admiral who defected was hilariously petty, learning Klingon curse words just so he could use them to annoy Worf. What's the over/under on that being all the Klingon he actually knew? Also the Klingon hair and beards are hilarious to me - they are a race of very very angry William Shakespeares.

Romulans probably don't dress up and go on holodeck adventures together, and there's obviously only one barber.

When TNG started, they never did poo poo with the Romulans and said "yeah, they hosed off like 50 years ago. Nobody's seen a Romulan or a Romulan ship like, forever!" It really did a lot to bring the mystery back to them, like they had in Balance of Terror where nobody had seen them for years. So when that ship was revealed, it was amazing. Not only to see a Romulan ship for the first time since TOS and through the eyes of the crew who hadn't seen one in their lives, but the fact that it looked so awesome. Birdlike, huge, powerful. Not a Federation looking ship with a bird painted on or a shared Klingon design--something wholly and uniquely Romulan. It was a great moment of TV.

I just watched the episode with the collector. I like that Data was actually in the process of killing the guy as his firearm was in a state of discharge, it was just the warp field jammed the weapon in time.

And then he lied about it, which I guess is meant to be creepy as they established in the episode that Data is incapable of hurting a human, but that's pretty dumb conceit I am pretty sure they dropped in later episodes. I don't think Data would be capable of being a star fleet officer if he couldn't harm other sentient beings; space battles and all.
