I don't... really see how you could have a global scale catastrophe from a sub? I mean, Thresher went crunch and had no nuclear repercussions? One would think even in a full meltdown type scenario the fuel would just sink straight to the bottom, and water is great at arresting radiation anyway. Right?

Also Biden himself isn't that rich, and there is a theory that Epstein was never a "successful financier" but simply a pimp for the powerful. I don't think Biden himself could pay up, but he certainly knows lots of people who could pay. I could see either way. Edit: the official Epstein story is that he went from nobody banker who was fired for fraud, to high school physics teacher at an exclusive private school, to (?????), and then all of a sudden has a nine figure net worth as a financier Playboy.
