Well.... I finally caved in and bought the season pass, but I also started a completely fresh game along with it. So while I have a bunch of new content unlocked, I imagine it'll be quite a while before I see too much of it. I did immediately notice a treasure chest at the entrance of the magnesis shrine that wasn't there before, though. There was a ruby inside.... nothing too huge, but sort of a reminder. I've heard tell that there are masks to be found very near the starter area, but I have chosen not to look any of them up. If I stumble across 'em, so be it. If not, I'd prefer not to break the difficulty anyway. On that note I also declined starting on Master Mode, and I'm not sure if that was a good decision or not. I appreciate challenge, but from everything I've heard of the mode it just goes too far and becomes frustrating instead.

Nah Master Mode is fine. It makes the plateau a true challenge of item/weapon/durability management which in turn make you use your powers / environment more frequently to give you an edge. It helps flesh out the combat / survival aspect and makes the game better for it. It personally got me using stasis and other powers in combat all the time. Once you leave the plateau you can find better weapons and gear and the game goes back to what it was before. There is only one instance that loving SUCKS in Master Mode and I’ve talked about it plenty it here (the lizalfos level of the first sword trials) but even that is doable. If you find yourself having issues in MM just hit any of the floating platforms (or raid the castle) for better gear.

I appreciate challenge, but from everything I've heard of the mode it just goes too far and becomes frustrating instead. master mode has a slightly longer "the beginning of the game is challenging" hurdle to clear but you can still easily get yourself back to the point where you're more-or-less a little green demi-god if anything, master mode made me consider how little combat is actually required to complete the game. i definitely want to plan my travel routes better to avoid unnecessary combat because the monster regen is the one feature i'd like to turn off in master mode, even more than hating weapon durability

I feel like they should've just put salt in all the savory recipes. It's not like you're forbidden from putting salt into them in-game, and it even improves the healing of the recipe. Oh well, it was funny.

Most of the Gerudo you meet out in the world kinda just think Link's a scrawny weakling, and half of Gerudo Town itself is already in healthy, committed long distance relationships. The other half of Gerudo Town is pretty horny for crossdressing Link, though, I'll admit.
