in OCD, "ritualizing" is performing repetitive actions to sooth anxiety. it can cause problems if you get stuck doing it. last night i was feeling troubled, so i decided to take a trip to the spirit world. i arrived in a familiar mountain pass, standing on a rocky outcrop, next to my OCD therapist. "You're ritualizing", she told me. "Well, we are in the spirit world," I pointed out. "We are? Oh, how did I get here? I have things to do, I really must be going," she said. Then she walked off into the mountainside woods. I tried to call an apology after her, but my voice trailed off as i realized she'd already disappeared between the trees.

Gravel met 65k thanks to Marianne Magic. He needs to poll at least 1% in three qualifying polls to get a guaranteed invitation. The invitations are finalized on the 18th, with priority going to the currently-uninvited candidates with the most >1% polls. In the case of a tie, they draw lots (also on the 18th).
