I hope I'm proved wrong some day but until then you have to vote for the best option you are presented with. That's a weird strawman. No one has said we need to give up if we can't have a socialist paradise at the drop of a hat. It sounds to me like you're just upset with people not liking Beto as much as you do.

But I also think that for the race he was running he was at like 90th percentile or better on the "Texas Democrats who actually exist and might be interested in running" scale Yes, this. Cruz beat Beto by 2 points. In 2012 Cruz beat the Dem by 16 points. In 2006 Kay Bailey Hutchinson beat the Dem by 25 points. In 2000 she beat the Dem by 33 points. In the 1992 special she beat the Dem by 22 points.

I do not care for him at all as a Presidential candidate and am glad he's getting run out on his rear end. I couldn't be any more clear than this, but clarity isn't what you're interested in is it.

Put a socialist on the 2020 Texas Senate ballot and (if I were a Texas resident) I would punch that ticket as hard as I could. There is no reason people can't or shouldn't express opinions about candidates whenever they want to. The reaction to try to silence/attack people for this doesn't make sense unless the person disagrees with either the opinion itself or thinks it's exaggerated. Yeah, this is where the ideological difference is. Most of us think that even in the context of the Senate race Beto is someone to reluctantly support as a harm reduction measure, but that it makes no sense to actually have positive feelings about the man. Also IIRC there was someone significantly better than him in that primary. Ytlaya fucked around with this message at 22:38 on Jul 16, 2019 |

Nah, Biden looks like he can still do a couple push ups before going full fat kid in gym class. The perceptional difference is all he's going for anyway, because nobody thinks he looks better than the rest of the Clown Car and his entire being is tied up in 1970s good ol' boyism. It's the same "reasoning" behind his previous claim to totally be down to fight Donny behind the gym. In the good old days, the ones Biden will totally return us to, people passed bipartisan plans to destroy the working class and successfully calling someone weak was a total slam dunk win. You can't vote for a wuss, guys.

You need to cull the candidates by labor day. don't really care how's it's done or who is the final candidate. could be by bracket debate. could be by pit fight. could be by a rousing game of trivial pursuit. hell could be by rock papers scissors for all that it matters. and then once it's selected, the democrats need to shake hands and vote in lockstep. because if it isn't, it really won't matter whom the candidate is because the default is 4 more years of Trump and staying home/voting third party guarantees it.

https://mobile.twitter.com/libbycwatson/status/1151185245393379329 It's remarkable how it's the most open of secrets that Warren, Harris and Booker are full of poo poo with regards to m4a. It's supposed to be their policy in just about the top issue and yet they don't feel like defending it and no one asks about it because everyone gets that support is just for show.
