Local options are better where available, but Greggs do ham and cheese baguettes without mayo or anything and that makes them good with me. The sweet stuff is also a very nice bonus.

Rarity revealed as the 'burnt bellend' victim the Daily Sport *ahem* reported on. Everyone always goes on about how Greggs is scorching hot, but everytime I've got one from somewhere its been a grim mix of cold on the outside and maybe 2/3c above room temp in the middle, with a weird soggy pastry. I guess their veggie stuff just doesn't sell as quick as their other stuff, so it just sits on the shelf cooling all day and sweating. I appreciate its a quick fix, and a better option than most meal deals (Coop is an exception), I sometimes still treat myself to one in motorway services but every time I am disappointed and it just makes me miserable, like a sad wank to weird porn. Its also undercutting and killing all the independent bakeries here, so I might longer be able to get a decent real pasty one day. And no, I will not calm down about this!!!!!@ Diet Crack posted:Dear UKMT - what is a left leaning paper that isnt going to shovel fabricated antisemitism bullshit down my throat? If you want leftist media you need to curate it yourself through Facebook likes and Youtube subs. Owen Jones, Novara Media and Another Angry Voice are all good places to start.

Greggs is definitely poo poo. I had a sausage and egg roll there the other day for breakfast and it was like I was transported back to being a poor freshman who buys the cheapest ingredients I can find and cooks them really badly. The egg turned to dust in my mouth. Speaking of supermarkets from last thread, I used to use Tesco since they were the closest but since I've moved the only one around is Sainsbury's, and while it's not that great they do at least have the proper rooster sriracha instead of that weird goose poo poo that Tesco has.

Greggs is always slightly disappointing. Their jam doughnuts are very poor cos all the jam is leaking out of one quarter of the donut and the rest is just dough. If I knew where to get a half-decent jam doughnut in Nottingham I'd go elsewhere!

More good Brexit news, not only will it finally liberate the UK to become a It's wins all over the place! quote:NO-DEAL BREXIT WOULD BE A WINDFALL FOR UK INDUSTRY: In case the U.K. leaves the EU without a deal — something new British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said is not his problem to avoid — the national carbon price would plummet to nearly half that of the bloc’s, according to guidance published this week by the U.K. Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). That’s because in that scenario, a carbon tax of £16 per ton of carbon dioxide would be applied from November 4 to industrial installations currently covered by the EU’s cap-and-trade system, where emission permits trade at nearly £27.50 per ton. The aviation sector wouldn’t be subject to such a tax.
