This SFFN twitter account is highly illustrative of the political landscape in the UK though - in the last five days they've targeted the Canary and Tommy Robinsons news website with twitter threads. The Canary attacks are pretty poor and are centred around the editors personal Twitter account, Tommy Robinsons website is taking contributions from open fascist conspiracy theorists. The Canary thread has been retweeted almost 500 times and the SFFN account then retweets several melt blue checkmarks that we repost here from time to time. The Tommy Robinson thread has been retweeted less that 20 times. Fortunately there are still lots of things you can do in a room, just having something behind the mic that absorbs sound makes a big difference because that catches the first set of reflections in the typical vocal range.

I can also attest to the Rode Video Micro. Only issue is it doesn't come with a stand, so you'd need a tripod compatible stand, or a boom arm, but the videomicro also works with android phones, and for an extra tenner can work with iPhones, in case you want to record on the go.
