lol even better, it's a poll of 150 people, so your MoE is up around what, 10%? And over 50 people in that tiny sample said they're undecided, making it even more pointless. Plus I can't find their methodology so I don't know if they rotated names or just read them in alphabetical order or just asked the question and let people respond unprompted. Bonus points that the question of who people would vote for was followed up by a push-poll question about Medicare for All

quote:

Lastly, ‘Medicare For All’ is a single-payer health care system that would provide healthcare to everyone in the United States with no premiums or deductibles. Proponents say it is a right and that enrolling everyone in one plan is the best to ensure universal coverage, especially for the economic vulnerable, and would free Americans to change jobs without losing their coverage. Critics say it does away with nearly all private insurance, will cost as much as 3.5 trillion dollars a year, create longer waits and less medical specialists, and all run by a federal government that has trouble running the post office. Knowing this, do you SUPPORT or OPPOSE Medicare For All?

Real fair and balanced take on the policy, there.

Hey LinYutang I get that Bernie ran over your dog or something, but if you're going to waste our time could you find something less stupid to post?

No but see they weighted it, so how could it be wrong? Sounds like someone doesn't understand the science of polling.

To put a final nail in the coffin of the ridiculous "B-b-but BERNIE only spends time in super-white Iowa and doesn't campaign anywhere else, the dastardly racist!" argument, FiveThirtyEight has a (mildly) useful piece up on where candidates are spending their time. Long story short: he's spent 10% of his campaigning days there. Beto has spent 17%, Ryan 13%, Klobuchar 12%, Biden 9%, Warren 9%. He's basically right in the middle of all of these tables. In other words, he's spreading his visits out broadly, which I think is pretty wise.

Breaking news: Tulsi Gabbard is a troop.

https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/457107-gabbard-taking-two-weeks-off-from-campaign-trail-to-report-for-active-duty

quote:

Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D) is taking two weeks off the presidential campaign trail to report for active duty.

Gabbard told CBS News in an interview released Monday that she will be joining a training exercise mission in Indonesia.

“I love our country, I love being able to serve our country in so many ways, including as a soldier. So while some people are telling me, like, ‘Gosh, this is a terrible time to leave the campaign, can you find a way out of it?’ You know, that's not what this is about," Gabbard, who's considered a long-shot candidate, said.

“I’m not really thinking about how this will impact my campaign, I’m looking forward to fulfill my service, my responsibility.”

A Gabbard campaign spokesperson was not immediately available for comment.

The joint training exercise will focus on humanitarian aid, disaster response and counter terrorism, Gabbard told CBS.

Gabbard served in Iraq from 2004 to 2005, and served in Kuwait from 2008 to 2009.

She is one of three Democrats in the crowded primary field who have military experience, along with South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg and former Rep. Joe Sestak (D-Pa.).

Some Democrats have criticized Gabbard for an announced trip she took to Syria in 2017 to meet with Bashar al-Assad in Aleppo. Her primary opponent Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) called Gabbard an "apologist" for Assad.

"I have no regrets and make no apologies for pursuing diplomacy, understanding that the only alternatives to diplomacy is war," she told CBSN. "We need leaders who will have the courage to meet with brutal dictators, to meet with adversaries in the pursuit of our national security, in the pursuit of keeping the American people safe, and in the pursuit of peace."

It’s hard to consider him “all-in” when his plan is less ambitious than the GND and more closely resembles dem tax credit boilerplate.

All the State Fair foods that I've been able to find so far. Posted because they're going to have as much impact on the primaries as the past two debates.

Here are the fair foods I have been able to find so far. I'm posting them because I'm 100% positive they'll impact voting exactly as much as the debates.

Corey Booker - Fried PBJ (basic and boring)

Joe Biden - Ice Cream Bar (cold and unfeeling)

Andrew Yang - Turkey Leg (you could eat 100 of these instead of having medicare with UBI)

Kamala Harris - Pork Chop (cannibal)

Tulsi Gabbard - Vegetarian Corn Dog (she's vegan but ate something with milk in the batter, can we trust her?)

Jay Inslee - Soft Serve Ice Cream (climate change defeated in his tum tum)

Amy Klobuchar - Fried Cheese Curds (finally this candidate has a good stance on something)

Tim Ryan - Had a beer after flipping burgers (how do you do fellow workers?)

Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Bill de Blasio- Corn Dog (boring)

Kirsten Gillibrand, John Hickenlooper - Bacon on a Stick (old meme)

John Delaney - Flipped Burgers (too dumb to know food is for eating)
