Okay so cause I liked the show when it was good I'm reading the first three books and gonna stop there. I'm sick of CreepyRMartins weird sex hangups leaking into the text (milky teats *shudder*) but do like the kinda iron Age british myth making that permiates the north of the wall/brans raven quest plus stuff ripped from English history sections of the story.

Can anyone recommend any similarly themed historical fiction, preferably without milky teats?

I'd recommend these two books, A Feast For Crows and A Dance With Dragons, by George Ronald Reuel Martin, they are a lot like the first three but have this really engaging new protagonist named Victarion Greyjoy

Cj cherryh fuckin owns and you should read the Morgaine trilogy if you haven't already. Her sci fi is also excellent, start with the pride of chanur and go from there. It's basically the old pnp rpg Traveller with a story about an Aslan free trader, and it's gritty af.

PULL OVER
Im aussie, I love to root. But I just dont get why its necessary, in a scene between a brother and sister having sex in a church next to the body of their dead son, to point out that she has her moon's blood. Way to make it weird, gurm.

I know people like to dog on Gurm for being a sex weird with all the moon blood and creamy lactate rum and fat pink masts, but let's not forget that book 6 is supposed to feature the rape of a thirteen year old girl maiden of three-and-ten. I'm not sure that chapter will ever be released to the public, but he's almost definitely written it already.

Uhm ACTCHUALLY I think you'll find it was a MUTANT GENETIC CHIMERA not an ALIEN that Adrien Brody has sex with. Also it's not rape he's totally willing to have sex with it. Then after he has sex with it it transforms into a male mutant creature and rapes Sarah Polley, who contributed human DNA to it's chimeric genetic makeup, so in a way is like its mother. Then it kills Adrien Brody so Sarah Polley kills it but later it is revealed that the mutant creature impregnated her when it raped her and the company she works for offers her a large payout to keep the mutant incest rape child, which she accepts.

Seriously Americans whats so weird about any of that?

Yeah exactly except there are two doctors and only one doctor fucks the monster, the other doctor gets raped and impregnated by the monster. Also Frankenstein was actually good and the "monster" had depth. The real monster in that story is Dr. Frankenstein!

Do people really think that? I mean I always hear people saying "such and such author had a character in a book who liked a certain weird fetish, therefore that author must have that fetish" it's bizarre to me. People have weird sex fetishes. You can spend hours on pornhub exploring all the things people want to see or have done to them, oftentimes it's hilarious. And I'm not talking two girls one cup, I'm talking weird non-gross stuff like giantess porn or humiliation joi. They just seem laughable, to me. But if an author wrote a character in a book who was into being humiliated by a camgirl while he jerked off, I wouldn't assume the author was into that, just that it was a tool of characterization.
