They constructed an entire conspiracy to shelter themselves from blame, they'll never give it up because facing reality is too hard. In less than six months Q will have been a Deep State agent working to make them look ridiculous and against trump. Because reality is hard and nothing is ever their fault.

How do you go from wanting "a revival of classical art and a greater commitment to science" to learning karate? Are they going to roundhouse people until we make A 432hz? Chip Berlet and Matthew N. Lyons posted:Though often dismissed as a bizarre political cult, the LaRouche organization and its various front groups are a fascist movement whose pronouncements echo elements of Nazi ideology. Beginning in the 1970s, the LaRouchites combined populist antielitism with attacks on leftists, environmentalists, feminists, gay men and lesbians, and organized labor. They advocated a dictatorship in which a 'humanist' elite would rule on behalf of industrial capitalists. They developed an idiosyncratic, coded variation on the Illuminati Freemason and Jewish banker conspiracy theories. Their views, though exotic, were internally consistent and rooted in right-wing populist traditions. Wikipedia posted:[F]ollowers picketed the courthouse, chanted "Weld is a fag", distributed leaflets accusing Weld of involvement in drug dealing, and "sang a jingle advocating that he be hanged in public". There's something awfully familiar about all of this. I believe Godlike Productions is also a weird case of no one really talking to each other, so it's mostly a million separate conspiracy theories all bashing against one another. And sadly I get that post. They're just saying that Q is what you'd call "controlled opposition." Set up a fake prophet to capture all the brilliant people who can see the truth. It's fun that we're already seeing the disinformation theories start. Historically it's a great way to throw out former heroes once their theories are disproved or fall out of favor.

They post some meaningless text and it might give them legal protection. Most Americans claim to be Christian and celebrate it, which is essentially a belief that if you say you're sorry it makes up for anything you've ever done wrong and you go to a land of fluffy clouds forever. Is it such a wonder that people are prone to irrational thinking and believe in casting spells?

Remember when people used to tell you not to believe what you see on TV? People are used to gatekeeping of some sort. In the past there was just a natural limit to how fast and far anything could be transmitted. The bars are now lower than ever before and society has done nothing to teach people to view information more critically. And it doesn't help that it's in the interests of business to not change that.

There's also the internet making it trivial for people to spread this kind of misinformation and gather in groups to create a cult-like atmosphere. Twitter and facebook lets you spread the word and find the credulous. They also let you find people who may agree with you on some slight issue like "Trump is good", and slowly indoctrinate you, until you're ready for the inner temple. The way sub-reddits, and I'm assuming, Voats is perfect for this kind of thing. The sub-reddit rules specifically make calling out Q-anon for being absurd and laughable verboten. So you get to gather and worship and experience fellowships. Then when you go out into the wide world you get laughed at and rejected. Naturally, people want to return to the safe comforting space of the 8chan board or wherever they are gathering.
