Some activities are not ideal for your low functioning autistic son. Put6him in that environment is not fair to him or anyone else attending. And given your sister is afraid of his physical agression already it sounds like you are doing a poor job of getting him the care he needs.

Like, it's not good parenting to bring a disabled child to an event that overstimulates them and that is not important to them just so you can feel like you're treating your kids equally. Bringing them both isn't treating them equally because the son has special needs and is going to be overstimulated at the event, and he's also 5 years old and doesn't have the capacity to cope with that and decide he wants to go anyway. Treating them equally is making sure the son has a fun day of stuff he actually likes to do while the daughter gets to have a wonderful time in a fancy dress as auntie's flower girl.

Like 6 weeks staring at a wall and not having to go anywhere or do anything sounds like absolute paradise. I cannot be the only underpaid millennial working my rear end off for half the lifestyle my boomer parents enjoyed on a single income to have these thoughts. I went to LA recently and was shocked that I couldn't fill up my gas tank like I did literally every other place I've been to. You can't pay at the pump and you need to prepay before they turn on the pump. It's ludicrous and I hate LA for it. How the gently caress do I know exactly how much my gas will cost? Does nobody fill up the tank there? Or do they constantly put in 20 bucks here and there?

Sometimes I don't understand my fellow men. How do you send a text like that in any circumstance. Like, not "how did he make that mistake" but "how did he write that in the first place". I cannot imagine making that comment, especially in written form, for any reason. It is ridiculous. Maybe this is just what happens to your brain when you have too much money.

A really good friend of mine is in her late 20s and basically is ONLY attracted to dudes like 38-45 who are not married and on "the dating apps," and doesn't understand why every single one of them is wishy washy about commitment, "can't see themselves ever getting married," or my favorite, the "42 and still unsure if i ever want kids." I've tried to explain that it's a self selecting pool because there's an endless supply of young women with everything going for them who are desperate to prove they can "reel in" these men. A big part of it for her is feeling "good enough" for someone to finally settle down with. Like yeah this dude is 40 but i'm the one who got him ~off the market~
