Lori sequel about making horror movies, except as you play it, you realize the whole game is a scorching indictment of fascism and cops. The climax of the game is a race to prevent Sheriff Braun from completing the sacrificial ritual at the abandoned glass factory to resurrect J. H. Blair and his dark army of union-busting demons. Sheriff Braun's head is crushed in a trash compactor, and it's left open-ended whether the ritual would have worked, though Germ and Scamz both say they definitely saw something. The game ends with Lori clicking the button to upload her completed horror movie on the internet, and you can see has another tab open for an application to Ham Panther, a wordless resolution to the subplot where Lori is terrified of having to give up on her dreams of being an indie horror film director to be a cashier or whatever. So has there been any further word on that prequel game they were talking about little while back? Though as I understand it it's probably going to be more like a supplemental game ala Longest Night and Lost Constellation rather than a full fledged thing.

The fucks over on NeoGAF are already calling it a lie (of course) I'm a teacher, I teach game dev, I've used Night in the Woods as a reference / example about a dozen times now I've been frantically messaging folks since it dropped trying to figure out what the gently caress I'm supposed to say / do I'm so loving glad to have this forum sometimes

I'm not the sort to tell people what they should or shouldn't consume. I think there's room for appreciating something for what it is while still being cognizant that one of the people involved is a deplorable human being. I think I can still go back to NitW and play it again. But personally, I don't think I can listen to the music in the same way ever again. Unlike the rest of the game, that was mainly a product of Holowka himself. So any suggestions towards similar sounding stuff people could point me towards and recommend would be appreciated.
