Because I still live in the past I use a stand alone rss reader sharpreader. It hasnt been updated in years and can be a pita finding rss feeds of some sites which publish them but dont document what they are easily. Means I kept my rss lists forever when google and browsers ditched inbuilt support.

I swear loving news apps are the worst, and enter a self-propelling cycle of reactionary shite until you're getting daily mobile notifications of "the trans are at it again!" and the comments are a tier below even usual newspaper comments, user4952169643: "they need jusus" MusolinisNutHair: "hiler was right" and it makes me loving pine for the days when my news feed was a bunch of engineering and music stuff and the odd complaining about Gordon Brown, and politics was for coffee shops and chat threads. Oh poo poo, is this my 2012 Olympics opening ceremony? *shrinks and turns into a liberal*

RSS chat: Use Feedly to track your rss subscriptions; you can get a Firefox/chrome plugin, standalone app or just visit your account on their webpage. You can also use feedity.com to create an rss feed of any blogs / websites that have removed thier own rss feeds, which will monitor the blog and make an update every time it changes. Resist twitterification! Politics chat:

Big list of protests going on today if anyone's interested (source, with event links). Busy myself, and there's obviously no chance that Boris would actually listen to a bunch of protestors, but public outcry is an important part of controlling the narrative & will feed into how the courts and Parliament react to the prorogation so still very worthwhile imo.quote:Aberdeen, 12 noon at the Castlegate. They have occasional interesting historical episodes, but they're far too hand-wringingly centrist for me, personally. There's a big list of podcasts in the OP if you're looking for others to try - mostly UK, but there's also US and other specific ones. quote:Off the Fence - Brighton based, covering UK & Global topics. As he barrels down onto Westminster to drive off the Roman invaders you have to face him off at the gates of Buckingham Palace. The secret ending is if you’ve collected all the lore pieces then you have the option of joining him because you realise an ancient horror from beyond the stars is better than the current corrupt status quo. Then you face Lizzie Ascended
