Virtual Captain posted:In the last 500 years, the Fourth Stimpire has dominated four systems, which it has united into one starzone, Stimsis. The Fourth Stimpire has origins from the Ten Empire War in which 10 of the United Stimpires revolted against each rules. All empires except for the fourth swore freedom upon their citizens. There is no free speech in the Fourth Stimpire, and all self-controlled transportation has been made illegal without undergoing painful medical verification methods, in which arteries are severed without pain resistant, operated entirely by machines. The way they work claim to be the most hygenic and healthy way possible, but these machines often rub against pain points, causing great deals of pain to patients. The heart is then extracted from the body and placed into a glass grinding machine. Various energy centers are also dissected and replaced with dangerous transplants. After the painful, 52 hour surgical procedure, patients will then have to use a fused guidance tool, which pumps painful resistors into the body every 2 hours. The pain they have caused is so bad, the victim would freeze in a tense position. They would then collapse afterwards.

In that case, they can add Vulkan, raytracing, VR, and maybe even some fairy dust!

Time_pants posted:Okay. I've been following this stupid thread and even more stupider game since 2014 and it has made me hate myself in a lot of ways I didn't even know I could. So with the news that we might be shuttering SCAM in the very near future, I wanted to say that, even though I wasn't sure about it when I first started following this thread five years ago, I can say now with absolute certainty that we do, in fact, live in hell and God has abandoned us. Star Citizen is the best and worst of all of us (almost entirely the worst). All of my friends think I am mentally ill for following this non-game disaster that a very, very small number of people genuinely care about or believe will ever exist and most people have never heard of. They are right and it has been very fun. I pretty much agree. It's a snapshot of progress, but there's no context, and line items just magically get deleted from the quarter list. "We did great! Everything (minus the 80% that was deleted) in Qx is 100%."

About the roadmap: What are "whitebox narrative", "whitebox playable" and "greybox"? When I google those terms I only get SQ42 results and stuff about unit testing, which I don't think applies.
