Yeah I wonder how this would work in practice, especially given the tight timings and whatnot. It would be insanely dumb for Bojo to just ignore the act that was just passed, so it wouldn't surprise anyone if he did just that. But then what would happen? Would parliament need to vote on what to do? Which options are there? Throw Bojo in jail? Someone else would go to Brussels... but who? Would any of these options get a majority in parliament? Also, doesn't the whole thing get prorogued like on Thursday anyway?

Maybe it would go to the courts instead. But is it likely that the courts would decide to order Bojo to go to Brussels etc? If not, what could they do? Make someone else prime minister, perhaps just temporarily?

The whole thing still has so much potential to be a total clusterfuck, since even if the system works and comes up with decent solutions, there are no off-the-shelf solutions here and it might take a whole bunch of time to undo whatever stupid bullshit Bojo will emit.

Edit: oh shizzle, have a topical cat:

Have you entertained the possibility that some of the information you receive is correct and some of it is not and that you must apply your brain and make a decision about which is which?

Because yes, you will get conflicting ideas presented to you.

As above, probably better off in e/n, but yes there's a contradiction between what a therapist will tell you about self care and self improvement for your mental well-being and what Anglo-American culture, including goons, will tell you about the 'need' for self improvement. Freud said we live in a diseased society and it's only got worse since then.

That said, there are places you can find where there is healthy self improvement and spirituality in the absence of the prevailing set of capitalist values.

You sound more like you might have severe anxiety issues as opposed to autism based on this, which is fair enough: anxiety is also a malaise of late capitalism.

The best way forward in my experience of anxiety issues is to take it slowly, as you won't solve all of your problems at once. You can have success with women and still be anxious, so that in itself won't help. The best thing to do is focus on factors which are inside your control. What will make you feel a bit better? As you chip away at the lack of a sense of agency which is really the core of many anxieties you might find success in other areas comes naturally. Or you might not. But either way you will feel happier.

But yeah, please go to a therapist as they will be able to help with your specific set of problems.

Humans will exclude, oppress and shun to the end of time. Maybe that's why I am such an empty shell. I want to live a life that cannot be judged.

Well it's not completely impossible, an acquaintance of mine has spent 20 years living in Finland and speaks Finnish like 97% perfectly. Of course most of this time they also spent studying languages at uni, like grammar and stuff for 5-10 different languages, which might explain why it was so easy to learn for them

Edit: if you know any other language, or 5-10 other languages, it doesn't help with Finnish at all (unless you know Estonian). But you might be able to understand formal explanations of grammar and whatever a bit better

Do they murder words too like the Danes:
- g is frequently silent
- r is more like a h
- t is frequently an l
- d is frequently like you had a mini-stroke
- k is g
- etc.

All of the above are true except when they're not. "You just have to know."

Random words stolen from french break all these rules, FYI.

It's after someone posts a response to the first breakdown, AoF goes :hmmyes: and then five minutes later he's back posting another whinerant having learned nothing.

It's the second round you gotta wait for because then they're clearly just taking the piss, if you pop off in response to the first one you're going to get people calling you a dick

Likewise for anyone who comes in asking naive or seemingly trollish questions, it doesn't cost much to give them the benefit of the doubt for that first question, but it's also reasonable to shut it down if they just keep disengaging after that.

English is somewhat odd in that despite being a germanic language it doesn't inherit a lot of the really good german noises, too much romance influence.
