The budget assumes that McDonald's employees will just be stealing everything they eat from work, which is probably it's most realistic aspect.

Yeah the more time I spend looking at that McDonald's budget the more of an insight I get into what the upper crust thinks life is like for the rest of us.

More realistically the people living in those houses have $100-150k household income. The other option being to pay $3000/month in rent.

1.8 million / $350k = 5.14 God drat if a real mothafuckin house only cost about five times my yearly income I'd buy one in a heartbeat. But that's an unattainable dream. It's more like 20x for most people lol.

My boss said he got repeatedly asked my his GM to just have 7-8 supervisors working 3 shifts a week so they wouldn't have insurance costs for the property/ie us 4 fulltimers. The fact the place was turned around under his watch to a massive successful money maker still making more then before didnt matter. He had to argue and fight every time to keep his regular staff. So if anyone ever thinks a company will look out for and take care of its minimum wage workers you are out of your loving mind.

When I used to work at a local restaurant I always would make myself dinner during downtime. How elaborate it was depended on my shift and which manager was on. If I had to be careful it might just be a salad or chicken fingers, but if I was doing a O-C when the manager did his usual midday disappearance for 2 hours I’d bust out the New York strip.

One date night/week probably means $100+ just for that one meal. That still means $350-400 on groceries each week which is way too much even for New Zealand where our dollar is worth like half of yours and we have some of the highest food prices in the world. I feed a family of three on like $200/week.
