Best one I ever had was a Soviet one, I think Romanian. Weighed a ton, but was wonderfully comfortable and doubled as a great blanket.

I'm surprised that nobody in the UK Marxism Thread has mentioned donkey jackets as good waterproof coats that don't weigh a ton and have big pockets. Because they are.Sloth Life posted:If Mad Max hellworld means I lose a few stone it will prove true that every cloud has a silver lining.

Going into supermarkets just as they are closing is a great way to fatten up for brexit Just be nice to the staff Not just because it's closing time and they want to gently caress off home but also because they are surely gonna form the initial gangs of brexpocalypse

I expect that I will probably die, but I'm going to have food to trade and a gas cooker, which should hopefully see me through the first few days. More than likely I think that ransaking supermarkets and then getting rudimentary mass feeding operations underway is going to be the biggest thing. I mean the fact is that there could well end up being peoples councils in various areas before the week is out, and it wouldn't surprise me if Corbyn is successful enough to restart governance, considering how many friends he has in his own constituency.

Liberal Democrat policy announcement https://www.newstatesman.com/politics/education/2019/09/exclusive-liberal-democrats-unveil-plan-give-9000-over-25s-adult You can have £9000 to spend on education/training when you're an adult (meaning 25+ because otherwise feckless school leavers would spunk it up the wall on nearly a year's university tuition) in three or more installments over your life maybe Can only see this pissing off the youth vote tbh. Good for Jeremy Corbyn?

Not actually the worst thing in the world, in this case, but a bad way to do an arguably good thing and something which is definitely not a priority for a lot of voters they need to attract. Good on them for a policy other than "No brexit even if it gets 99% of five consecutive referenda" tho I guses
