The effect of EC inflation on box ships these days is crazy, 700 million for an admittedly good escort with a lazy rear end ugly model? No thanks. Fortunately (?) the price for anything Lobi related is more or less fixed roughly around 200-250 mil even for best in class stuff like the Vengeance.

Do the new patrols have some sort of hidden timer to keep you from finishing them too quickly? Because the number of waves at the end seems excessive unless they're just throwing ships at you until it's been long enough. In the last one I did, the end had 25 waves, and 22 waves in the one before that.

It seems so yeah. You get full XP/drops for killing them though unlike the usual infinite respawning stuff so that's nice and makes it super easy to level ship mastery. Still yet another example of their obsession with timers though.

I don't know what is up with folks purchasing the Avenger. The Avenger / Mogh give you hull options for the Arbiter / Kurak but don't provide any traits because they are T5. The Arbiter / Kurak grant Emergency Weapon Cycle which is one of the best traits in the game. I think the Twitter post might have just highlighted the wrong ship because the Avenger is T5. Edit: A kitbash with the Avenger windows, hull material, saucer, nacelles, and fleet pylons plus the Arbiter hull and command module is one of the best looking Federation ships in the game, REAL TALK. gently caress IT, MORE EDITS: The Mogh head, hull, and nacelles with Kurak options for everything else will grant you one of the best looking KDF ships in the game too.  It was legitimately cool of Cryptic to provide the original gold Mogh skin to KDF C-Store purchases but it's a bummer that the exclusive Mogh and Avenger hulls (and windows in the Avenger's case) are limited to two ships.

The only decent Klingon ship Disco has managed to produce is their take on the D7, I utterly loving hate every single KDF ship they've barfed out otherwise. The dyson sphere stuff was probably the peak of the game in some ways, but it's as fun as ever if you liked it back then. Keep in mind it's still just as strange, laggy, and janky as ever too, burt it's F2P so whatever.

Anyone have any opinions on the Andorian Thozyn Pilot Escort? I'm still looking to cash in my T6 token and the skill looks OK. Damage buff every time you use a tac skill, stacks 5 times, stacks go away when you leave combat. edit: also half eyeballing the Tucker class miracle worker cruiser, since it's buff increases the duration of FOW and I'm still running a lazy FOW build. You also want the trait from the Arbiter (Emergency Weapon Cycle). Those, imo, are the absolute minimum, most people mix in other stuff from there as budget allows. Calm before the Storm (off the cardassian intel flight deck carrier) is popular cause it increases your DPS 50% of the time and also helps with cooldown management. Superior Area Denial is also popular for CSV builds, but unfortunately for you, as a fed player, you can't get it cheaply

For cannons you really want Withering Barrage from the T6 Tactical Escort / Kor / Malem for the extended scatter volley duration. Couldn't do any customization (even the bridge) because I didn't own the base T3 version and it shared parts. But only one - red - is available in the customiser, and it comes with the yellow. So if you want to have regular yellow windows, you have to make sure you never ever customise it, or it'll change and you can't get the original ones back.
