Do the enhanced-committee powers mean the Democrats can finally get their hands on Trump's tax returns? It doesn't really matter as apparently the public doesn't care the president is a massive tax cheat, but it would certainly make him very upset when people find out how much poorer he is than he claimed. We can all agree that's a good goal.

I'm hearing that Nancy scrapped the plan to have an Impeachment committee and instead will let the six individual committees conduct their own investigations because nobody wanted to give uo the gavel. Any truth to that?

I think having all those committees continue pursuing the investigations they were already pursuing, and funneling it into the Judiciary Committee, makes much more sense than trying to pick ~10 Democrats for a single Select Committee. Also it feels like the writers are trying to wrap up all the loose plot threads from the last four seasons into a satisfying conclusion.
