Pictured is PS2 Media Remote, PS3 Media Remote and Muteki AV receiver: Every japanese phone and electronic before about 2008 had these, including nintendo products. Once the iphone/smart phones came out it died off because they used cases that may or may not have a slot, and the market largely collapsed...it makes me super sad cause they were hilarious. You would see men/women young and old with a dozen little cute bobbles hanging off their phones. https://strapya-world.com/collections/straps LifeSunDeath has a new favorite as of 21:32 on Oct 8, 2019 |

I have a 35 year old Sony stereo amplifier that I refuse to throw out for some reason and sure enough, the remote has lanyard holes.

According to Google, the equivalent to a Gammon joint in the US is 'Virginia Ham' so I fully endorse referring to those truck chuds as Virginia Hams from now on.

Yeah it’s probably the light that’s throwing me. My PC 5.25 drive was bloody massive and I have no idea why. External thing but waaaaay bigger than the one I had for my BBC Micro.

Oh yeah, on the only 5.25" drive I can see without getting up from my chair the light and locking lever are swapped around. Maybe that's a left-handed PC I don't have any content for this page, but I'm all set for page 486. Looks like I've got 18 months to prepare.

I went to a vintage computer and console auction today: Pics of the items before the auction I brought this C128 and a Commodore 486SLC-25 IBM clone (my photo of it sucked). The C128 has no PSU and the 486 has one of those dreadful barrel batteries on it, thankfully has only just started to leak, so hasn't rotted anything.

My god that is beautiful. That reminds me, I got a haul of old Apple II gear a while back, from a primary school that was just about to throw it all out, I still have to clean it all up and test it. I was planning to go to tomorrow's Amiga meetup but some dickhead broke into my car and now I've got cops and insurance to deal with.

You Am I posted:Ah poo poo mate, sorry to see that. I'll be taking along the Atari STE to tomorrow's meeting (as it is the 30th anniversary of its release) and I've asked the AUG Facebook if someone could bring along a C128 PSU so I can test it. I opened it up tonight and it is mint inside except for some surface rust on the cover for the RF modulator. Hey thanks. It sucks but not much else I can do. If I can be there tomorrow, I will. I was hoping I could bring along my Sharp PC-4700 laptop, but a teacher at one of the schools I work at wanted to show it off to his class and it's still there at the moment.

They could've sold the Commodore name and badge to someone proper and we'd have had Commodore PCs all these decades, like what happened with Osborne (I know some company or companies have sold Commodore-branded PCs in the 2000s and they've all been dire as far as I know).

The owners of the Commodore name since its collapse have been loving awful and lost all value in the name. Osbourne was reasonably popular in Australia during the 90s until Gateway took them over.
