which have better sound the Haylou or QCY? I'm tempted to pick som up at some point.. Baseline is just pairs of apple headphones I gather from people who dont use them.

I was going to snag a set of the Haylou earbuds, but Amazon reviews suggest they don't meet US standards for lead? I mean, cheap lowest-bidder stuff, obviously, but it made me leery.

Not entirely true. elemental lead is much less dangerous than lead containing compounds or vapours and children are far more susceptible to long term damage. It's still going to greatly increase your long term exposure to lead to swallow a bunch of it.

I got the Haylou earbuds too. I'm pretty disappointed by the sound quality tbh. And as others have said, they are annoying as gently caress with their touch on & off function. Very easy to bump and turn off. Would not recommend.

Just had my first bad experience with a seller. Ordered 2 LED strips with remote, second set had no USB Plug Remote Receiver.l and is thusly useless. Opened a dispute and seller contacted me, wanting to refund me way too little or offering the replacement part shipped, which would arrive way too late.

My husband and I both have the QCY earbuds (last years model I think? Since it doesn't have the lid on the charging case) and we both think they are great - good seal, stay in ears during exercise, decent sound (comparable to my old sennheiser earbuds actually, which were strangely bass heavy). For $15 we feel like we got enormous bang for our buck, best Ali purchase of 2019 (bought back in the spring)

Yeah I'm not getting what you're expecting soundwise - ok I haven't tried any 'premiere' in ear buds like airpods etc but I can't imagine they give a massive boost in quality compared. AirPods sound the exact same as EarPods. While they’re great in terms of how they work, they’re not renowned for good sound quality. Apple are doing IEMs next tho, which should be a big leap. Being able to get a good seal on the ear just makes such a difference. For $10 I usually buy a pair of JVC Gummy IEMs, not wireless obviously but great value and decent sound.

So I am some kind of connoisseur for ultra cheap single ear and dual true wireless earbuds. I probably have one copy of every cheap bt earbuds under $20 since I buy from both ebay, and taobao when I was in China. I listen to audiobook or youtube at work so all I care about is loud and reliable cheap earbuds. There are the 3 I recommend: * The ultra cheap $1.5-2 single buds, they last only 45-60 minutes but they are very reliable. I had about 6 and only 1 turn bad on me. I lost half of them. You can wear them in the shower. Which brings to the my next subject, decent true wireless bt earbuds that can work independently for either the left or the right buds if I lost one of them. Older first wave of cheap earbuds only let you use one of them (right?) as a single earbud. If you lost the right one, the left one is useless. * So far I have test the Xiaomi Redmi Airdots， I am happy to report that each bud can work independently you are fine if you lost just one of them. It's loud enough and last about 3-4 hours so they are great bang for the buck (￥99 RMB), the only problem is I can only seem to find them for the price of $22-25 on reputable shops. The cheaper ones on ebay, I can not tell if they are fake. * Which brings me to the last pair of cheap buds I tried, only $10 a pair on ebay, come in different colors! And I can turn on and off each bud on the fly. This is even better than the redmi, because I believe they need to go back to the case if I am switching from dual to single. Last 4 hours. All of they work in the shower, the only complaint I have is they use physical buttons not touch sensitive buttons.
