2195 brings new developments in the war between the spartans and the university: it looks like the spartan assault on Santiago's Folly has been stymied. as the gaians are allies of the university and enemies of the spartans we are pleased with this development, but our core pacifist leanings lead us to mourn the loss of life and limb on both sides. rip, to those who have died.   meanwhile (and arguably consequently), the spartans have spent a big chunk of cash rush-completing The Virtual World.  in the other hemisphere, life in the gaian colonies around the jebediah kerman memorial crater is peaceful, even pleasant.

according to my e-mails the game proper started on the 10th of November, 2017 but the thread start date is close enough :P since starting the game we've had two drop-outs:
and yet we're still going strong! thanks to everyone hanging with the game, honestly this is the only multiplayer experience i actively participate in anymore lol looking forward to many more turns and

here's a rundown of the various secret projects under construction as of 2196. i think i've got slightly more minerals towards mine, but since progress can be freely transferred between different projects i haven't really decided which one i'm going to build. i don't think i mentioned it when it happened but a couple turns ago my researchers discovered 𝙸𝙽𝙳𝚄𝚂𝚃𝚁𝙸𝙰𝙻 𝙰𝚄𝚃𝙾𝙼𝙰𝚃𝙸𝙾𝙽 so now it's my turn to start making GBS threads out 10 zillion supply crawlers  i'm sending some formers to construct mines on my inland rocky tiles in anticipation

i reckon all of us have High Energy Chemistry at this stage and could produce units with Nerve Gas Pods however speaking for the Wu-Tang Hive we have not chosen to pursue such barbaric instruments and i'm sure my allies haven't either. as for the spartans though...

Beyond the diplomatic penalties I think the environmental penalties still apply. Nerve gas pisses of Planet something fierce, and it counts against your clean mineral limit.

Planet is already pissed as there's worms fuckin everywhere. Pirates been dealing with endless worms and lost a base to them iirc. also in recent turns i spotted a giant Isle off the coast of Drones territory (Hit me up if you need a hand with that). speaking of most recent save file name was: fun fact: the save file grows by ~1KB per turn, last i saw it was up to 423KB
