Depends. Is the person you shot a cop and are you a minority? It's sad that this would matter but it's the world we live in. I would 100% say you were protecting your home from an intruder.

That said you can potentially have a very hard time proving that you thought someone was a threat to your life just because you saw a shape outside. Also how white are you and how chudly is law enforcement in your area
