Matt Nagy literally drove himself insane obsessing over kickers, and now he's going to be broken forever.

Last season will be the pinnacle of Nagy's career. He'll eventually get let go by the Bears, get hired by some other schmoe team, and never get to the playoffs ever again.

At the end of his life, he'll be sitting in a nursing home mumbling about kickers and missed field goals.

Eh Pinero has been good, and hit some clutch kicks.

Nagy was just a idiot for not trying to get any closer. Even if only a run play go I-Form and run straight ahead.

I’m glad Stafford is allowed to be himself again this year and is no longer shoehorned into being a lame rear end checkdown QB.

Now if only they can establish the run....

Yeah, but... they did this with Grossman, they did this Orten, they did this with Cutler. Who gives a poo poo?

Bears fans will always hate their QB and pine for whatever loser happens to be the backup.

Remember when Bears fans (including Doug and OB) were calling for Jimmy loving Clausen over Jay Cutler?

For me, the big question is how close will the Vikings get to the SB? It's been several decades since they lost in one, so that'd feel right.

Golden Tate rules and I wish he was still on the Lions

Stafford was excellent outside of that horrible interception on the first drive

e: oh also a hearty lmao if Tracy Walker misses time and the Lions have to sign a safety off their couch immediately after trading Diggs

They will gently caress it up somehow but the Lions are a prime candidate to go on a late season run. Their QB is playing at a near MVP level, they have a reasonably delicious defense and their schedule is reasonably easy

The Lions are in the same position as usual of Stafford slinging lasers, but a lack of a run game and a defense could kill them. But Stafford is really slinging it.

The Lions defense is much worse IRL than on paper

- The defensive line cannot pressure the quarterback to save their lives. This would be okay if they were as good as advertised at stopping the run, but they can't do that either.
- The linebackers just cannot handle the intermediate passing game, Jarrad Davis is okay as a high-risk high-reward type of guy, but Jahlani Tavai is still pretty raw and Christian Jones is just clueless out there
- They could shut down the pass in the early part of the season but with Diggs gone and Slay hurt it's down to Justin Coleman and a bunch of question marks, which is not optimal when you can't rush the pass.

You could argue the Lions only won today because Ford got away with some pretty blatantly hold/DPI on Slayton. It's rough out there without Slay.

Also I'm pretty sure they almost exclusively rush 3.

Had the opportunity for a TD, had to settle for a field goal, the announcer declared that they'd be the first team to be booed off the field at halftime with the lead - which did happen.

imo it owns that the Lions barely lost to the Chiefs with Mahomes and then Mahomes gets injured right before the Packers play the Chiefs and the Packers barely beat the Chiefs without Mahomes.

OH WAIT I MEAN THE OPPOSITE OF THAT!
