Worth noting with the Twitter thing, they still hold the definition on what political advertising is. So this could be just as bad as Facebook's fact checking thing that blocks pro-vaccination articles and has Breitbart as a trusted source.

Comrade Fakename posted:Unfortunately Twitter isn't banning political ads until Nov 22, which still leaves a bit of time for the Tories to pump out ads. But in general it's great news. One of Dominic Cummings' killer referendum hacks was saving all his advertising budget for the last few days before the event because it was proven that a short period of saturation advertising was a far more effective than a steady trickle.

Good chance of some changes in NI tbh Decent odds on the DUP dropping from 3 to 1 Belfast seat (or completely driven out from the city on a very good day for Alliance), SDLP nominated their leader to try to overturn a ~200 vote SF majority in Derry which I think they are likely to do and then there's the fight between Lady Hermon and the DUP in North Down which may be the purest Brexit vote here. New UUP leader came out of the gate outright rejecting any Unionist pacts with the DUP and telling them to get stuffed so might swing 1-2% in some marginal seats but similarly all the other parties seem to be unable to negotiate any pacts - though the greens may drop out of the running in at least one seat where it will make a difference
