That was based on the assumption in some quarters that she might be a Not Awful person trapped in some "arrangement" with Trump, which is a boatload of assumptions all predicated on the idea that somehow she has no agency in her own marriage or life. The truth is birds of a feather flock together and she's an awful person too, probably. She deserves no benefit of the doubt.

He really seems to be under the impression he released the transcript after this whole thing started and it was a brilliant strategic move that knocked them off their feet -- even though it actually came out first, and is the main reason there's currently widespread public support for impeachment.

Maybe he posted a different transcript to https://www.creedthoughts.gov.www/creedthoughts and he doesn't realize nobody else has seen it

We give Nate a lot of poo poo for his bad punditry (and it is all justified, don't get me wrong) but the fact remains that he was closer to "right" last time than almost anyone else, laying out the exact path Trump would need to win. He did say it was unlikely, but he never said it was impossible, so I'm more inclined to trust him when it comes to numbers.

Listen to Nate on numbers and polling, remember that he's talking about probabilities so a 70% chance of a win means a 30% chance of a loss, and tell him to shut the gently caress up whenever he gets into punditry.

I think this is a rare instance where I'm ok with scare-clicking if it holds non-R voters captive until after election day. The dataset is an outlier but the methodology seems fine - it is here: https://github.com/ndcohn/battleground-poll-2019

Lightning Knight posted:

'trump vs' isn't singularly primary content and the larger thrust of the topic/info in the article is that the only advantage trump has left is the EC, due to white non-college voters who now effectively control our fate/the country politically; which should be motivating and terrifying and worth discussion, but OK fine.
