I don't think they're entirely wrong about the potential value of precapitalist social structures in informing the content and form of theoretical post-capitalist social structures but they're insane in that they think the only alternative to neoliberal nihilism is reimposing anachronistic social models like the church hierarchy or rigidly gendered family units or whatever and as plutonis correctly pointed out, generally, most of their beliefs about the nature of pre-industrial family life are already incorrect and predicated on a caricaturized hagiography that doesn't acknowledge the collective parts of rural life in most of the world before the early modern era. that being said Milbank/Pabst et al absolutely do understand that and it's part of why they think we should just go back to parish based governance where you have childcare options through neighbors and the church, because they can't recognize any alternative structure that provides those same benefits without the insane imposition of outdated religious values on others

They're not wrong that society today is more alienated and isolated even on immediate family level relations, but going "back" to feudal conceptions, even were there more family bonds and stronger relations isn't far enough, we want the whole negation of the negation and a return to our full human capacities to socialize and collaborate to create our material lives and exercise real power, so trads that appropriate Marxist language are just the worst kinds of dead ends, it's a complete non starter

We should just come up with a new name for socialist police, especially since western countries already need to effectively tear down and rebuild it's law enforcement structure. Given how fundamentally alien the new organization(s) will be from what we know as cops, it would make things whole lot easier just to call them something different.

communist cops in a stable post-scarcity world will mostly have to deal with stuff like mental breakdowns and de-escalations, and would have to be trained in psychology and EMT stuff with a few specialized armed units for when the Joker takes the premier hostage or whatever so my proposition is to call the organization Psi Corps
