Yeah you're missing something. He reacts specifically to the image in his avatar, a generic video game skull apparently from the game of the thread he is posting in, doing a 9/11 as being specifically about him and chooses that moment to say he's an arab, and everyone is supposed to already know this and specifically preemptively avoid using his video game av in 9/11 jokes. And doubles down. There's some lovely racism afterwards but fuckin lol. It's like someone using Edgar Allan Poe in a 9/11 joke and me accusing the poster of specifically targeting me as a jew. did I get you too lol content: I got to thinking about the old goon rushes the other day, and specifically the final goon rush that ended them for good. I hope someone else remembers this because it's been a while and nobody really talked about it. I think this was around 04 or so? There was a site somewhere that stole like 5 pages of cliff yablonski material, captions and all, and lowtax posted a thread all "haha check out what these assholes did, oh look they have open forums, welp I'm gonna go out for the evening byeeee." About 1-2K+ goons rush the other site's forums and do the usual, flooding in new and existing threads, etc. But then a couple hours in some goon is like "so I checked the admin account, and he used an extremely basic guessable user/password. here they are, have fun," and then there were a couple thousand goons trying to sign in to the same admin account, getting kicked off, etc. I don't know what that was like. What I do know is every time I hit F5, entire forums and subforums would appear and disappear, stylesheets would change, it was total anarchy. Then about a half hour after that, the same goon's like (and here's where I get real fuzzy on the details) "so I went poking around and the motherfucker used the same user/pass for his forum's admin panel (or something), oh also you can remote into the server from the internet and the auth was also easy to guess," and I don't remember if he asked the thread what to do or if it was his idea but he wiped the server and turned it into an open FTP. I watched it for a few minutes as files and folders would pop up over and over only to disappear and be replaced by different ones. there was one person who seemed determined to keep putting their furry porn up. About 4 or 5 hours after this all began, lowtax posted "I had no idea you guys would go on a derby of destruction." When I checked a few minutes later to see what people would say to that, the thread was gone. The next day, fragmaster (IIRC) posted a thread saying there wouldn't be any goon rushes going forward, and trying to foment one would be bannable. And then we never heard anything about it again. In fact when I PMed lowtax about this a while ago, he said "I actually don't remember that event at all!" so must not have been a problem
