Went into a Tilted Kilt a few months later, and those outfits are downright pornographic for a restaurant that was entirely occupied by families with young children. Like, I’m not about post in-thread because it feels like they’d earn a probe, yet it was full of soccer moms and six year olds.

According to owner Sean Cahill, Tilted Kilt brings much more to Florence than just beautiful women for guests to gawk at.

“First and foremost, it’s bringing a lot of jobs to the community,” Cahill said. “Everyone here is a resident of Cincinnati or Boone County.”

He said the franchise is always hiring and looking for people.

“If there’s good talent out there, we can always take them,” Cahill said.

One of his main goals with the locations he owns is to create as many jobs as he can.

“I love doing that,” he said. “This is about giving back too.”

...

Mayor Diane E. Whalen said Florence has always been the first place people come with their franchises.

“When they do their market research and find out what’s here and the volume of customers they will have here, they know they’re going to be successful,” Whalen said. “That’s the same thing we’ve heard from places like Red Robin, Chick-fil-A. They’re always looking for a place to locate and are happy in this market, so we’re proud of it.”

AITA for giving in my two weeks notice with no job lined up?
Hello everyone I work part time while my husband is the breadwinner. I have made up my mind. I'm giving in my two weeks tomorrow despite not having another job lined up. I have the Ok from my husband to quit, but I still feel like an rear end. A part of me is telling me that I need to suck it up and bear the grunt of a job I hate because my husband does the same for me. The extra income was helping us save more.

I loved my job so much up until I got transferred to a new location this year. I do not feel comfortable sharing too many details in case my employer sees this, but I will say that I am in charge of managing a group of vulnerable people who are dependent on me to make sure they are safe during the day. The new group I manage has a few members that display aggressive behavior toward me, my co-worker, and the other members of the group I am supposed to watch out for.

I am near my breaking point and want to leave on a professional note before I rage quit. I have spoken to management and informed them I do not feel qualified to manage this new group. Management has placed me there permanently, it's been decided, and I don't have the option to return to my previous location. I have had some close calls where people have almost gotten hurt by the aggressors but I was able to intervene quickly. Management has assured me I'm doing fine, but I know I am not because I come home crying and I'm unable to sleep or eat. At this point, I am worried that administration knows my concerns and is not providing me with an extra layer of support (another team member in addition to what we have now).

My husband says it's okay to quit, but he loves me and is selfless so of course he would say that.

From every indication, OP is NTA with regards to their family finances. Their obligations to coworkers and clients in a hosed work situation that will only get more hosed up if they leave are much more ambiguous and difficult to assess.

Found out girlfriend(23F) cheated on me(23M)... Stuck on the cruise with her for 3 more days

quote:

Edit: can't strike through from my phone I think. I left her last second on a tour inside Mexico. I tried to get a new room but they said there's nothing left for me, even with money. I'm still stuck in this room with her when she gets back. And no I'm not kicking her out of it lol

So I found this out today... Sorry for any grammar typos since this is typed from my phone.

Here's a little background. We met in college in California, dated very happily for 1.5 years until she decided to quit school and become a flight attendant. Now I did a lot of research an talked to a lot of people about her career, many of them were warnings. I still decided to support her through her transition when none of her family did. We've been having some problems recently because of our wild schedules but we were every much together and going on mini vacations each month.

Fast forward a year till today. After many guilty faces and backing away when I was getting close, along with other signs, I checked her phone (for the first time in out relationship) and saw the heart dropping dirty talk. He was some military guy who became a flight attendant.

I confronted her and she confessed everything.

What sucks on top of getting cheated on is that this girl was the most ethical and moral person I've ever met. She puts everyone ahead of herself and has always been that way. If a girl like this is capable of cheating then who can I trust? Also, yeah I'm stuck in the same room and bed with her for 3 more days... I also have the flight back with her afterwards as well. Looking forward to that lol...

What's the best way to move past this and stay confident while not be paranoid at every corner?

Edit: I prefer the advice on healing rather than what to do with her. I don't think dumping will be helpful as the relationship is over.

Edit 2: I'm not getting back either. That much is sure.

Tldr:
My girlfriend of 2.5 years cheated on me since a month ago (at least twice). I found out after checking her phone (for the first time)when her messages were suspicious and found the dirty talk under loads of meme-related cover-up (actually made it extra suspicious). I confronted her about it and she confessed everything. I'm stuck with her in the same bed and room, for 3 more days, not to mention the flight home.

Dine and dashed on my birthday

quote:

I (30F) decided to have dinner with a small group of friends to celebrate my coming of age. It was also the first time meeting my friend’s (30F) boyfriend (I’ll call them Stacy and Dave). I was running a little late - we got there 10 minutes after the agreed time because I had to finish getting the house ready to have people over afterwards and had just finished baking two cakes and a large batch of cookies - which I assumed was no big deal.

I was pretty excited to meet Dave - I heard so much about him and thought that he sounded like a perfect match for her. I thought that we were all having a great time and enjoying each other’s company and everyone was chatting lots. My best friend Miranda (30F) was there as well - we haven’t seen each other in a little while so we were also catching up on each other’s lives. Everyone just ordered food and drinks.

Stacy and Dave left the table - we just assumed that they went outside for a cigarette. About 15 minutes later, I got a call from Stacy telling me that they had to go and she was sorry about this unexpectedly happening. I asked her if they ended up paying their bill before they left - they didn’t. This, of course, caused me to have a relatively big panic attack. I’m thankful to have a remaining group of wonderful friends to calm me down and try to make the rest of dinner good for me.

She asked to send me money to cover their portion of their food and drinks - it wasn’t cheap either - so I gave her my boyfriends contact info. I felt so bad about them leaving and I was extremely embarrassed that this happened. We shouldn’t have been stuck with THEIR bill on my birthday.

I get a call from Stacy yesterday to discuss what happened and it turned out that Dave was unimpressed that I didn’t spend more time trying to get to know him - at a group dinner. Stacy backed him up and said that she felt the same way. I was shocked. This wasn’t a double date by any means and I wasn’t aware that there were expectations of me. Stacy threw in my face a conversation I had with Miranda (it was about making art and makeup) and how it was uninteresting to Dave. Stacy also told me that she felt that they were ignored and interrupted - Stacy knew Miranda from before and she never mentioned this to me before when we all hung out. I had no idea that Stacy felt overshadowed by anyone - shes pretty extroverted and does extremely well in social situations.

Stacy also told me about how it made for an “awkward weekend” with her and Dave and how he “isn’t even sure who she is?” But at least, they didn’t have one of their best friends just up and leave dinner without paying over something so petty. I apologized because that wasn’t my intention to make anyone feel left out and said that my friendship with Stacy isn’t a reflection of who Stacy is as a person? I responded to conversations as they were directed to me. Miranda said she tried talking to Dave but he wasn’t very receptive to her, which she thought was quite rude. I guess I missed the memo on being expected to intellectually engage with Dave and not make small talk?

I feel that I did my best with talking to everyone and I did not deserve to be treated this way. I don’t even know how to handle this situation going forward - it’s just so awkward and now Dave hates me for no apparent reason and I feel awful about it. I am upset that they didn’t even try to make the situation better, they just blamed it on me. I feel manipulated because Dave wasn’t having a good time because he wasn’t the center of attention.

My (25M) girlfriend (21F) has a humping problem

quote:

I know this is so weird and like I’m complaining about a dog but no this is about my human girlfriend

She has a problem and it’s awkward but I’m gonna try to be mature. It was hot in the beginning but now it just bothers me a lot. She has a humping problem. She didn’t do it as much in front of me before but she’s gotten comfortable so she doesn’t hold back

Basically she masturbates every night which is fine, she just has a high sex drive. Nothing wrong with that. But it’s awkward. Like I walk into our bedroom to go to bed and she’s there on the floor humping her pillow. In our living room, she likes to sit on the arm of the couch and hump it when she watches tv. During sex, she lets me gently caress her and I finish and then she will hump my thigh. My guys know after sex, that post nut clarity comes thru and honestly I don’t want a girl humping my loving leg I get turned off by sex and she doesn’t wanna do it before I finish bc she says she feels pressured to finish quickly so I can get off too. I told her that wasn’t the case and I don’t care about her taking a lot of time but she doesn’t wanna do it until I finish. I’ve woken up in the morning and she’s humping my face as a joke to wake me up.

I think the biggest part is the sex thing. We can’t have normal sex. She likes oral but she needs it for like an hour before she can finish from it and she says grinding is quick so she prefers it. I don’t even mind, I will go down on her for hours if she wants. It’s just kind of annoying. It’s like sex or masturbating there’s no difference for her, she’s basically doing the same thing. And she’s not even up for experimenting. She was going at it on me once and I held her so she’d stop and tried to just be playful and she got mad at me and said she lost her orgasm and I was an rear end in a top hat. Idk. She’s not even up for something different

Tell her to hump your dick, possibly using her labia

AITA for not wanting my kids every weekend?

My ex husband and I share custody of our 10 year old daughter and 12 year old son. We have a 2-2-3 schedule which usually looks like I have the kids Friday after school and then he gets them Monday after school. I get them back Wednesday after school and then he gets them Friday after school and then the week flip flops. We've done this since our divorce 5 years ago and it works well. I'm a nurse in the OR so I schedule my shifts for the days during the week when they are with their dad and my one call weekend every 6 weeks is a weekend they are with their dad.

Recently, the kids said they want to try splitting up on the weekends, so instead of both of them being with one us during the weekend, one will go with dad and one will be with me. My son said he would make sure he was with me on call weekends because he can stay by himself if I have to get called in or can hang out at the hospital until I'm done. My ex is on board with this because he says it will allow us to spend one on one time with the kids and will allow the kids a break from each other (they squabble occasionally and annoy one another). While they have a point- sometimes it is hard to not feel like you are disappointing one by trying to accommodate the other, I do not want to give up my free weekends. It took me a few months to get used to not having my kids all the time after the divorce but now my weekends without them are filled with activities or travel. My ex agreed if there was a weekend trip I wanted to take he would be fine having both the kids that weekend but I honestly don't want to have to take his schedule into consideration when planning my trips, and sometimes they are spontaneous trips.

I was talking to my family about this at breakfast this morning and they are all kind of appalled by me not wanting to do this. My sister pointed out that if I was still married, then I wouldn't have all the child free time I have now and many mothers don't get a break from their kids like I do. My mom said she can't believe I'd deny my children quality time with their parents for selfish reasons like not wanting to give up my weekends. My SIL seemed to understand where I was coming from but said that she would still do it and just incorporate the child into whatever I was doing and pointed out my daughter would love to go on the NYC shopping trip I had planned for December and my son would happily join me for my Saturday morning spin classes. I considered that but my SIL loves taking her kids everywhere so I don't know that she is aware of how nice it is to just be an adult without the responsibility of a child wherever you go. They were really making me feel like an rear end in a top hat though. AITA?

I'm pretty sure this is what my mom used to do, which was overseeing a group of developmently challenged individuals (that's the word they're supposed to use) while they do things like assemble bobbleheads and other simple hand labor as "enrichment". The management shoveled as much poo poo on her as possible and she dealt with it because she avoids confrontation to an unhealthy extent.

Finally even she had enough and managed to transition to home visits and she's much happier.

No A-holes here
My ex and I had a kid together. She never liked the idea of biological children, believing that her DNA was "wrong" and would produce only monsters (family history). When we were married and floating children, she wanted to do an egg donor. We had an accidental pregnancy and found out too late to consider abortion. She was on edge the entire time, flipping between wanting an abortion anyway and wanting testing that was inappropriate for maternal age.

Our son was born with down syndrome, and is severely autistic.

Maybe they should have done the loving testing she wanted.

Aside from the ballpit at Dashcon one of the stories I'll forever remember was the lady and her husband who had volunteered for some light work, flew in and then she had a complete mental breakdown when they dumpped a massive itinerary in her lap.

Her husband was writing about her huddled, crying and shaking in the corner of their hotel room because a minor task she volunteered for turned into a full time non paying job.

It was full of details like him having to console her and beg her to eat their take out meals while she shut out the world and wailed. Eventually she managed to pull herself together but her husband then about how they both developed PTSD from the experience.

In summary, some people are incapable of standing up to others and when giving impossible or insane tasks rather then laughing and walking away they break mentally and have to be hand fed McDonald's fries until they recover.

It's a huge stretch to claim it's due to molestation. Even assuming it came from childhood, it's normal for kids to self-stimulate without knowing what's going on other than it feels good. As you get older, you find something that works and it's easiest to stick with it. She has the equivalent of death grip syndrome, but that doesn't mean molestation either.
