I have about $40 to blow on Christmas stuff, anyone have any recommendations? Last year I went all in on pins and patches and people seemed to like that but I'd rather not just repeat the same thing this go around.

Generally, buy 2 jinhaos get 1 good one or maybe 2. As others no have said their qc is kind of lovely but for $8-10 you'll get a decent FP.

I hate to harp on this, but: how's the latency? You can probably check this most easily by watching a video or playing a game instead of just listening to music. I like the idea of wireless headphones and have had this model on my wishlist for ages, but I need zero latency (or extremely close to it) for my work. My little TaoTronics earbuds don't cut it.

It's bad on almost any Bluetooth headset. Let me quote some rando from reddit:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows10/comments/9eszmz/is_there_a_fix_for_bluetooth_audio_delay/ posted:

That's normal for Bluetooth.

There is a Bluetooth audio codec called "aptX Low-Latency" that makes it a little better, but both your sending and receiving hardware has to support it and it's pretty rare. Most devices don't.

There's also some comments that Bluetooth 4.1 devices have better latency, but mainly it's a matter of what audio codecs the headset/transmitter support.

[edit] I started reading more about Bluetooth audio in general, and christ it's a shitshow of competing standards.

I watch a lot of talking head videos and haven't noticed anything on my PC. But I've only used it for a few hours because I didn't have a dongle on PC until today. time will tell playing games. I'm used to my Logitech G930s which were a bit laggy so I'll probably notice an improvement.

I pretty much only use the T7 Bluedios to watch youtube car related videos with lots of talking or downloaded movies and I have not noticed any annoying out of sync or lagging but I am definitely not a power user

Thanks for checking. I might still get a pair for not-work--it's not like I need the freedom of Bluetooth while I'm tied to my computer, after all. The model that accepts onboard (micro?) SD cards is intriguing, too.

Trip report from right now. Around me at the moment I am in quite a noisey environment: Delta 3D printer to my right about a metre away, a box fan to my left about 2 metres away and an old DL380 2U server screaming its tits off and I can barely hear any of it!

Quick question folks - I live in London and haven't had anything through from Aliexpress for ages

I ordered the frog pin in July and it never turned up, and the replacement isn't here either. And a few things from 6-8 weeks ago are still missing too

Anyone else in the same boat?

Yeah, got a couple of things that have gone missing: watch compasses and wire keyrings. Also ordered in July.
