I used to bank with a local bank that was eventually consumed by wells fargo. One of their innovations when they took over is that for purposes of calculating overdrafts, they would process all of your debits in a day in descending order. So let's say you've got $50 in your account, and you go out and spend one dollar 49 times, and then you buy something for $51, overdrawing your account. They'd process it as though the $51 charge came first, charge you a $30 overdraft fee on it, and then charge you a $30 overdraft fee on each of the other 49 charges.

Ah, Murica, where account with possibility of unarranged overdraft is the default somehow.

Apparently in Australia we can have one of our largest banks get caught for 23million counts of money laundering but they still didn't charge me an overdraft when I had my mortgage payment come out without enough money.
I noticed the same day and transferred money instantly from another account to cover the shortfall before end of day settlement.

The evil big gubment can plainly see the writing on the wall, and is trying desperate, baseless, last ditch action to keep crypto from replacing their dirty fiat. Bitcoin's time has clearly come and you just need to hodl a bit longer to rake in the unending wealth. Soon dollars will measure their worth in bit, just you wait!

If you will look at how many tethers they've issued, I think you will find that they must have that much, since they pinky swore that they're all backed by money in the bank.

Ask me about my wealthy lifestyle and passive income! I love bragging about my wealth to my lessers! My opinions are more valid because I have more money than you! Stealing the fruits of the labor of the working class is okay, so long as you don't do it using crypto. More money = better than!

Or literally anyone who wants something for nothing. Accumulating real wealth is actually really boring; it takes sacrifice and decades of investing. Most people get stuck at the "I deserve this new thing" and never get past the credit card debt stage or taking out a secured loan for stupid poo poo that won't matter in ten years.

tldr: accumulating real wealth is a very long game that most people simply don't have the patience for, even though the rules are really simple.

It depends on how much wealth you are talking about. It's very possible for you to become a millionaire in your fifties or sixties. That's a lot of not eating out or owning the latest iPhone though. Don't take my word for it, though, it's just a simple math problem.

No financial windfall is needed or inheritance, just sacrifice and time. Lots of time. The younger you are, the better to invest.

It is very difficult to wait until you are fifty when you have to have that new whatever, but denying yourself makes all the difference in the world.

What? Of course not, but I've maximized every opportunity that's come my way. That's how you play the game. The only thing that's 100% is what I choose to do with the chances I'm given. I can waste them or take full advantage of them.

The point being made is that while you, personally, might be able to become a millionaire in a manner partially attributable to sacrifice and hard work

A) that's not how most current millionaires did it
B) you are probably availing of existing privilege, soft generational wealth as it were
and
C) your probably exploiting people in some horrible manner and externalising the costs of your wealth, directly or indirectly
