In my experience dick pics are really good for making you laugh a lot. Maybe it's just me, but I've never seen one that wasn't at like 0 distance and horribly angled or exposed to flash to the extent that it looks incredibly weird and off-putting like some alien growth. There was some site I visited once years ago that rated dick pics and goddamn some of those were classy and beautifully shot. It's not just some red, inflated flesh held in a hand. It's art and lighting and the composure of the shot. Like take the time some girls spend to take their profile pics and do that with your dick. It's more effort, but drat it's also 100% more appealing than the standard "weird, reddish thing in hand" pic.

i... dude, cars just arent that complicated. they're so commonplace because they're so easy to use. yes, the ruling class has deemed it most profitable to rely on cars and so they're everywhere and theres a huge emphasis on them. but they really do fit this incredibly useful spot that trains and public transit could never cover that even in a scenario where public transit is perfect and always on time and runs every 5 minutes, you still might need a car once and a while and therefore it would be strange if you didnt know how to use one.

And, you know, sometimes you don't live in a big city where buses, trains, and bikes can take you everywhere. And maybe sometimes you want to go to a place that the bus doesn't take you! Whenever you want!

In Oregon you need to pass the knowledge test in order to transfer an out of state license.

EIDE Van Hagar posted:Agreed about revoking licenses for irresponsible use but even a half semester actual college type class could cover pretty much anything you’d ever need to know about driving, it’s not rocket science. Yeah, there’s a lot of bad driving habits that you aren’t going to educate out of people no matter how long you stick them in driving school. Part of learning to drive is understanding that everyone else on the road is about to do the dumbest poo poo they can think of and being prepared to react to that. The other part is understanding that you’re in that category of “everyone else” to everyone else. But in the majority of the country the way everything is set up, you need a car. And even in the presence of a robust-as-possible public transportation system, people are still going to need to drive because schedules or pick-up and drop-off points aren’t going to be able to cover 100 percent of use cases. I’ve lived places where I didn’t have to drive, and it was awesome, but I would be 100 percent hosed if I didn’t have a car where I am now.

There's a study about how car customization/bumper sticker stuff correlates to aggressive driving. People can consider their car their personal space. But when some rear end in a top hat brushes past you on the sidewalk it doesn't break your legs.

# ? Nov 25, 2019 19:29 |

I know it's a strange correlation to make but I've been finding that people driving old minivans are the most aggressive, inconsiderate and/or incapable drivers. I'd put them above BMW drivers in this regard. Am I imagining things or does anyone else notice this? I wonder why?

AITA for not wanting my GFs male friend at our home with just her when I'm at work? History, My GF and I have lived together for about a year. She has a friend that lives close by and he's well, a dude, and there's absolutely no problem there. From time to time I would come home and he would on his way out and my GF would let me know he was over and was leaving to give us our privacy. No biggie. This happened a few times, again all good never had a reason to doubt her faithfulness. Still don't. Now, I come to find out around Halloween that they had slept together before we had gotten together. At this point I started to question why this was never brought up. To me that's the kind of knowledge that should probably come up front so we can discuss boundaries in good faith. While I don't suspect they were sleeping together at any point during our relationship, I couldn't really ditch the feeling that something was off. I talked to a few people to get a base for my feelings and determined I was not comfortable with them hanging out at our house while I wasn't there. That's not to say I don't want them being friends or whatever, just that I'm not comfortable with passing this guy on his way out when I'm on my way in. She agreed, somewhat hesitantly, but I let her know straight up this was dealbreaker territory for me. Fast forward to now and she's really upset that I'm being controlling and "ending their friendship" out of jealousy. AitA for not wanting this guy around? Edit: From her point of view it was a long time ago and they're childhood friends so she never really viewed him that way and didn't think it was worth bringing up. She agreed that she should have and that was her basis for going along with my request to keep him out of our house. Edit 2: I suppose I should also disclose that this guy has admitted feelings and proclaimed that he loved my GF before we got together. And yeah I suppose I have feelings of insecurity about that whole thing. Even if I trust my GF it feels pretty lovely that this dude is for sure just waiting in the wings playing the long game.

AITA For Insisting My Wife Not Put In Two Weeks Notice? So my wife recently got a new job, and we are very excited. It's closer to home, is more stable, pays a little more, and most importantly is a much less toxic environment. The reason that it's a much less toxic environment is that at her current job she works under an office manager who got her job through nepotism and treats her employees like poo poo. One recent example of this (among many) is that when the last employee who left put in their two weeks notice, she told them immediately to leave and not come back, not even allowing them to say goodbye to coworkers with whom they'd spent several years. Based on that, I think it's fair to assume that when/if my wife puts in her two weeks notice, she will get similar treatment. This would be fine except for the fact that she can't start her job until an already-agreed-upon date, so if her boss pulls the same poo poo we will be out two weeks of pay. While we aren't in poverty we certainly aren't wealthy either, and we really can't afford to give up that money. My wife, however, firmly believes that giving two weeks notice is the "right thing to do" and says that she feels too uncomfortable not to. The way I see it, she is essentially throwing away a ton of money in an attempt to try and do right by someone who is virtually guaranteed to only punish her for it. She has put her foot down and refused to reconsider, and I in turn have told her that I'm not going to support the decision or pretend I'm not upset with her for doing something so foolish and absurd. AITA? Clarifying Info: In case it matters or anyone cares, we both work full time and make similar amounts of money.

AITA For Being Hungry at a Work Lunch? Can hardly believe this is an issue but here goes, I work on a small team at a medium sized corporation. One of my more senior teammates (not my manager) got a intern for the Winter and wanted to take her out to lunch. He invited all of us to go with him. When we got to the restaurant I couldn't decide what I wanted to eat so I ended up ordering two different entrees so I could try different things. Senior teammate asked if I skipped breakfast or something and I laughed it off. I figured it would be fine since it's on the corporate card, right? Wrong. Turns out management didn't approve the lunch but my teammate thought it was important to do anyway as a nice gesture to our intern so he ended up putting down his card. The meal came out to $100 between the five of us, with my food totaling $45. To top it all off, the food wasn't even that good so I ended up sending both entrees back half eaten. I don't think it's my fault that the food was bad or even that I was starving, so I can't understand why my teammate would be upset at me. He's asked me to limit my eating if we ever go out to lunch again, like, come on dude? Hopefully you kind folks can tell me what I can say to him to get him to move on. So folks, AITA?
