Remember everyone, the JC have been publishing headlines as inflammatory as this once or twice a month for the last three years. Just think about all the headlines that have passed until now and think of all the positive signs we've seen for Labour over the last couple of weeks. Whatever impact this story could have had has long since been maximised and we're still seeing huge crowds turn out for Corbyn. Today is a blip and it was always going to come at some point, there's still another 16 days to follow and they will be positive

Here’s a question everyone. My other half’s last two payslips were on an emergency tax code so she lost a large chunk of pay despite her employers getting a P45. She’s had a look for this month and yet again it’s on an emergency tax code. Is she best to give it both barrels to her employer or to HMRC?

In fact it's one more precedented than the last time they did this.

Under RTI the tax codes are just provided to the employer/payroll provider, there's nothing they can do about them AFAIK (based on when we discuss this with the provider we use for our payroll)

Yes, momentum will build and we will succeed. I'll try to persuade people but I've already had my hand bitten for guilt-tripping. I'm particularly peeved because we wrote a very nice email to our HoD to say "by the way, here's the precise impact on our team's work" and the response was "I can't do anything about national negotiations." No... but maybe you can use your HoD voice and do more than we can as researchers on time-limited contracts. Atomisation is a real annoyance.

Lisa Forbes 'liked' a video expressing solidarity with the victims of the Christchurch shooting where the OP said in the accompanying text "zionist slave masters". Forbes said she just watched the video and hadn't read the text. Claudia Webbe (who is loving brilliant btw) said in 2006 that Ken Livingstone's "history of work in the anti-racist movement is unquestionable." Just want to underline that this was in 2006. I generally try to stay away from Kuennsberg bashing but her coming out with this about those two is really disgusting. Necrothatcher fucked around with this message at 17:49 on Nov 26, 2019 |

Company recieved my new tax code in 72hrs and I got the tax back that month.

Can any goons do me a SocialistTech solid? Our candidate is on the local radio at 6 debating Andrea Leadsom, and it’s streaming on Facebook Live apparently. I won’t be home so is there anyone who could somehow record the stream for me and send me the video afterwards? We can use any good takedowns on our socials then...
