Well, if Labour MPs represent the youth, and people keep saying the youth are being failed, then clearly it is Labour who are failing the youth. Vote Lib Dem!

Do we have confirmation that the Lib Dem press officer tried to remove him from the room? It doesn't happen in the video and he has not himself tweeted to that effect. Some kind of proof or a statement that it happened could be quite amazing to have.

Final day UCU striking in the past 8 working days I've met lots of new people, fixed up my back (no doubt from spending too long slouching at a desk), coordinated ASOS in the dept & am getting involved in organising. We'll no doubt need to walk out again come Feb time but feel very ready for it. Hope any others itt who've been striking have had positive experiences too. e: oh yeah, I have a 9 to 11am lecture tomorrow, which is going to have to be a dazzling display of improvisation. pitch a fitness fucked around with this message at 16:21 on Dec 4, 2019 |

If Trump goes all 'I will watch, cackling, as your pathetic nation sinks into the waves' (or whatever that translates to in Trumpese), that's not great for them.

We have plenty of material to work with already Anyway, some damage has already been done. Everyone was expecting Trump to support the Tories and most British people hate Trump. We're doing alright on that front

I've posted a lot in the past on the journey I took from being pretty goddamned far to the right (I was a full-on libertarian up until my thirties, and this place is the main reason I swung so hard in the opposite direction). Nobody over the age of about 30 just happens across an opposing political theory and casually drifts toward it, you have to engage with it and be the kind of person who is either willing or forced to put up with the resulting stress. Most people just let their thoughts drift into familiar patterns, which are usually "Work good, politics bad, money good, anything that threatens the status quo bad."
