Completely unsurprised at Polls closing, we always knew (had hope) they would. I still think that they've got the Conservative and Labour vote figures transposed tho, up da yoof turnout.

Get a list of likely Labour voters, knock on their door, ask them politely if they've voted yet, if they say no ask them if they need any help getting to the polling station, if they say yes ask even more politely how they voted, report back to board runner.

I'm in one of the Extinction Rebellion private groups on Facebook, and I'm happy to see a flood of posts over the last week supporting Labour. The consensus seems to be that while the movement isn't supposed to be political, the environment is a political issue (duh) and Labour is the only real route to implementing the necessary changes. Nah I haven't. I'm relegated to my own two feet, so outside of getting to the bus station from Exeter I'm on me own. Tbh I'm gonna look into the logistics once I get home. I'll hit you up tho if that's alright

Yeah do the form on the Bristol Momentum website for GOTV19 and you'll get presorted into an area and they'll try and hook you up with transport up to the GOTV area you've signed up for.

Also if you fancy going to Redruth they'll like your help there?

Polls aren't open that early so you're getting people into position or dropping cards saying TODAY'S THE DAY GET OUT THERE AND VOTE so no they don't mind.

It's really cool that the 'media can lie minutely less' period mysteriously boosting Labour and only Labour has just been accepted as a completely accepted yet unexaminable force of nature by our entire media class.

Like they admit it's a thing and say 'oh it's slower than last time' but this weird loving ongoing factoid that if it happened in a poorer country would at least get honourable mention in a few op eds is just nope, we're not gonna address it, we're all gonna pretend our media isn't a construct. We're gonna write about why this important election feels low-energy and lie-heavy and ignore literally everything we've been doing and you love it you love to see this poo poo you love that our entire social superstructure is a hollow broken barn full of dead cattle.

The thing is that suddenly a lot of those who have been decrying the left have suddenly realised. "Oh no, we aren't court favourite anymore! WE MIGHT NOT BE HERE IF WE DON'T DO SOMETHING!!!"

Fecklessness, pure and simple, but if it gets us a win or cripples Johnson then so be it.

Also, I am hoping for at least a hung parliament on Thursday, I like to hope we can get something more, but I can only hope.

Facebook has gone and "lost" a bunch of Conservative and Lib Dem Adverts

Sky News posted:

Researchers fear 'catastrophe' as political ads 'disappear' from Facebook library

Political ads are "disappearing" from Facebook's advertising monitoring system, leaving stunned researchers fearing a "catastrophic" loss of transparency and accountability.

Ads from the Conservatives, Brexit Party and Liberal Democrats, as well as local parties and candidates, no longer appear in Facebook's Ad Library, the tool set up by the tech firm to display political ads.

A search on the Ad Library for "Boris Johnson" now claims the Prime Minister's page has spent £181 since November 8. In fact, it has spent over £90,000.

It is not known how many ads have vanished, but researchers believe it could be "tens of thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands".

As a result, it is no longer possible to find ads that have previously been reported, or perform accurate large-scale analysis using the data provided by Facebook about each ad.

"This is catastrophic," said Tristan Hotham, a researcher with ad transparency non-profit WhoTargetsMe.

"Almost all the ads from late October to early December are gone. In effect it is deleting the data."

The vanished posts include targeted ads run by the main political parties, such as a Tory campaign calling on voters to "end the gridlock" by voting Conservative.

Versions of the ad featuring opposition leaders were shown in Remain-voting constituencies St Albans, Wimbledon and Putney, whereas versions featuring Boris Johnson were shown in Leave-voting constituencies Rother Valley and Ashfield.

None of these ads now appear in Facebook's Ad Library, whether it is accessed through the public interface or the Ad Library API, which gives journalists and researchers more detailed access to the library's data.

The ads can only be found by someone who has saved the ID of the original ad. With this information, which is rarely collected, even by researchers, it is possible to locate the ad.

Article continues with some quotes etc

I guess someone at FB told Dom about the secret 'delete' button?
