Jesus loving christ everyone, we are so close now. It really feels like we're riding the awakening of class consciousness here. There has been so much pain and hurt and suffering caused by the Tories over the last ten years and it is coming home to roost. The current order of things is breaking down and unable to recognise the youth wave coming its way. Progressivism is everywhere, it's on Twitter and Facebook and Instagram and they're are even leftist memes on loving TikTok and it's spreading out into the offline world and they don't see it because they don't see us. They have no idea what's coming for them and whether it's tomorrow or a few years down the line it is coming. Change is in the air, we just have to finish doing the work. Solidarity to everyone out on GOTV tomorrow, thank you for everything you're doing and have done. We may have a Corbyn government on Friday, we might not quite be there yet but what I know for a fact is that the Tories will have less seats than when they started in 2017. Onwards and upwards, friends. Onwards and upwards.

Parties are allowed to look at the postal votes as they arrive and while they're not supposed to count them there's nothing stopping them from getting an impression of the mix of votes, and certainly nothing stopping them saying things like "it looks good" or "it looks bad". It doesn't matter. You're not supposed to report the findings. Also postal votes are the province of the elderly so they never swing well for Labour. So yes, this is straight up the state broadcaster trying to sway the election. Get your complaints in because Kuntsberg is eligible for a nice cold cell.

Doubtful, the Ruth Davidson effect was largely a fabrication of centrist commentary and Ruth Davidson was leader for several years with no noticeable effect and the uptick in Scot Tory support coincided exactly with all the Brexit stuff and in the same (old) demographics just like in the rest of the UK.

Corbyn threatens that cosy 'politics as parlour game' setup. Woo, I get to copy-paste my rant again! It's a hell of a lot easier to just dash off some copy based on whatever is going through your head at the time, or better yet, delegate it to some peon who already has a million other things to do so won't apply any more due diligence than you would have. Then you can rush off to the fun parts of the job, like schmoozing, drinking and If the bubble likes you, then you will have easy access to the bubble! Sorted! And if (when) you get something wrong, you can simply memory-hole it! Everyone does it, so it's like no one does it! Brill! Your journalistic reputation is built on being known as a reputable journalist, so who cares if something you say turned out to be wrong? Just don't bring it up ever again, no one else will! Everything you say comes from the mouth of a respectable journalist, and is quickly replaced by more things from the mouth of a respectable journalist! These new things must be true, we assume! Though I think we are seeing the breaking of this cycle starting to happen

Got my Mum (lifelong Lib Dem voter) and brother to agree to vote Labour tomorrow. They're not particularly politically engaged, beyond hating Tories, so it wasn't too difficult, but hey, three more votes for Labour from this household If only we lived somewhere that they could make a difference. The fuckers round here would vote for literally Hitler as long as he said he was a Tory
