I should really go to bed before the Sun front page for tomorrow is released. Last years was rage inducing (https://imgur.com/a/xCrpLxs for reference) and I know this year will be just as bad and if I see it it's at least an extra 20 minutes of needing to calm the gently caress down before I can sleep.

Well that was fun: a post on our candidate page on FB (to which I have editor rights) about tactical voting. Someone wrote a real obnoxious comment telling her to suck cock and calling her a twat. In my own persona I replied there was no need to be rude. The response was very rude back and it was tough if I didn't like it.. so I switched into page mode and deleted his whole comments. Mwahahaha power crazed.

Zionist is one of those words where if someone's like "I'm a zionist" or "are you a zionist" I have to be all like "what do you mean by zionist?" Is just thinking "Israel should exist" zionism, or is placing the condition "but Israel claims territory it has no right to and should not have" very not zionist?

I despise tactical voting to prop up parties you don't actually like, but as a rationale for people who are more flexible I'd mention this year UKIP is standing unlike in 2017 which won't impact the yellow Tories at all but will take a couple of thousand votes away from the Blue Tories.

They'll probably be glad of the help as long as you don't seem like a tory, which given you're not likely to be fondling yourself while saying yeaarrsss a lot isn't hard. Wrap up warm, even if you don't feel cold it gets right into your bones after a while especially if you're out for hours. I don't think we're allowed to actually campaign during polling hours so it should mostly be reminding people to vote but it'll probably be similar to normal canvassing without the selling part which is part of why I'm gonna try and do as much as possible cos I'm poo poo at selling. Otherwise you just need to be able to knock a door and talk to folk. It helps if you remember the house number for your board runner cos if they're managing a lot of people they'll forget. Just wanted to chime in as a long-time lurker that everyone's positive stories about canvassing have given me the push to take tomorrow off work and sign up for some GOTV action. Got pointed to Battersea so once I've voted in the morning I'll be heading over there for the day. Let's show Joris up as the useless moral vacuum made flesh that he is!
