Did my democracy in Chichester, safe Tory seat but I guess you have to just go at it until folks see it can be swung. I really don't see how the Tories can do better than last time, not convinced their Brexit position can land them as many votes as it loses.

Like they're gonna have any difficulty getting something shared today And the story is that the Tories are heartless and incompetent. Misspelling things in your advertising makes you look competent, of course. So yeah, this is a strategy I guess. But I think it's the wrong one

Voted Labour in Edinburgh North-West, which we're way behind on but hopefully moves the needle for next time unless the youthquake really is real. Had an SNP canvasser come by to ask who I voted her and I felt bad for her because I have voted SNP a few times and this is an SNP/Lib Dem marginal. I'll be sad if the Lib Dems get in by some small margin. First time I've actually had a canvasser knock on my door but also the first election I've had while living here where I wasn't working on the day.

Is there data available from previous elections indicating when in the day people vote? Fake edit: at the pub, and the table beside me might be how people more normally engage in politics - ie discussing it today, on the day of an election, exceptionally, and evidently have only made their minds up today or very recently (table of three: Conservative, Labour, Green).

No sites with updated vote counts from each district like in the US either: you get the exit poll, then each constituency publicly announces the results when they’ve counted 100% of the votes. That’s it.

Fair few in my polling station at 8pm and turnout was sitting at 40% at 5pm which is unseasonably high (I'm in an SF/SDLP hypermarginal so looks like people fired up ate bit)

Put in my Labour vote in Norwich North. The place wasn't rammed, but there was a fairly consistent queue of around six people from entering to leaving, so busier than normal. Mixed ages. A canvasser knocked a little later for GOTV and said it's gonna be tight here.

Ladies, Gentlemen, Lads, Lasses and all other genders - I wish I had the guts to stay up with you for the livestream; I may still be able to do so, but I fear I am too much a coward to do so. All I can say is that you guys have seriously helped me recover after the last few years; the E.U. referendum and the US election, along with me living in a place that wasn't best for me leading to me drinking way too much pretty much broke my brain. I cannot do too much (besides from drowning my father in all the evidence that Corbyn and Momentum aren't intrinsically anti-semetic) from where I am, besides from my vote by proxy. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I love you all, and solidarity forever. Work will still be hard for us even if we win big. But that's the thing about socialism. You always have to fight. Hugs and kisses.

Since I've been home from work two labour people have come and knocked on my door. I guess it makes sense that I live on the same street as the polling station so it'd be easy to get people to go and bother, but I'm hoping this is an extra sign they know it's close to toppling the incumbent Tory
