circle games probably a fine plausible denial grey area for an instance like the army/navy game, and if that's the excuse they made immediately after then whatever, but that's why it's probably a better idea to just plain not really give a poo poo about the whole giggly hand sign thing when it's not super clear. Not like secretly getting away with it and making everyone except your close racist buddies unsure whether you really did it or not is some truly amazing win for racists anyway.

It's beyond the point where I'm willing to give benefit of the doubt the other way, especially since in this case it wasn't even circle game rules. Maybe it was, but you're still being led by the nose by bad faith actors if you're instantly giving everybody who does it in an obvious way a free pass anyway the circle game mandates it be below the waist which this one wasn't, doesn't seem like a mistake somebody would make if everybody is doing this all the time

I generally just lurk this thread bc I like reading stuff posted about alt-right failures. But I have legit concerns they are doing a better job trolling than people realize and it very well could influence elections. Something that helped push a lot of people to support nazism was their very effective propaganda against the communists. I see Trump as closer to Mussolini that Hitler. But regardless, I’d much prefer he be a one term president. That he was elected at all is pretty drat scary.

I'm not seeing a path between "assume circle game is a white nationalism signifier" and "as a result of this chain of events, Donald Trump is re-elected" people don't vote for Trump because they're tired of liberal persecution of games for children or whatever, they vote for Trump because they are super down with evil and genocide and destroying the world if it means the next 5 years sees no change at all in the status quo does this also mean the Dem is possibly going to win as a result of this because the Norse and Pagan communities are fuckin mad about nazis co-opting their symbology? why does it only cut the one way?

This should be easy enough to investigate. Interview dorm mates. Have these guys been known to play circle game before this? Usually it’s a “regular” thing for the guys who think dick punch games are fun times. If answer is no, then yeah. I’d agree. Malicious intent. Court martial them. Not just expel. Court martial. If a bunch of people outside their immediate peer group say “omg. Those guys will NOT stop smacking dicks” then probably not malicious. In my experience, there are three types of people. Ones with no idea what circle game is. Ones who think it’s dumb af. And ones who play it way too drat much, and we all knew who they were. Shouldn’t take much to figure out which ones they are. But again, people can disagree with me on this.

It's absolutely a white power symbol, but it also has a layer of plausible deniability which can be used in the way some folks on 4chan wanted. Mostly though it has become a huge white power symbol though as white supremacists latched onto it. Its also incredibly easy to tell when its white power or just the ok sign. AOC doing the ok sign is very obviously innocent. A bunch of lily white smirking bros flashing the ok symbol and looking smug is pretty obviously a white power thing. The ok symbol is a sign with multiple signifiers, one of which is white power. Context is the key.

also lol the reason a lot of people supported Nazism is because they were super on board with the platform of the Nazis, it had nothing to do with anti-communist poo poo which came out after the war.
