Sheev is Poe's father. Poe and Rey are siblings. Poe can use the force. Lando's co-pilot is a gungan. Luke Skywalker force ghosts into Reys body and superimposes his face on her body. Sheev does the same but with Kylo.

I think it's mostly just how it was introduced -- with her dying, then force gliding through space in a way that looked incredibly stupid. Also that the person playing the character was a 60 year old, with a 40 year long drug habit that died right after filming was finished, did not help make it look less goofy. Personally I also find it a bit lame how much the force is expanded on and everyone is force sensitive, but at least Leia is the least objectionable of characters to have force powers considering her relatives edit:  yeah but alec guinness was also a decrepit old man close to death in an uncaring world when we saw him as a jedi

Leia presumably learning more about the force from her brother and even being able to use some of the powers we’ve seen Jedi wield isn’t a big stretch. Going from Zero to Superman In Space is retarded as poo poo. Hell even luke skywalker himself going Superman in space would be retarded as poo poo.
