This is my favorite deep ward, usually lasts over ten minutes even in higher Elo:

Specifically when you're red side playing support and can ward enemy red buff.

yeah nobody on blue side jungle ever checks that equivalent ward, if you can't protect any wards as red side its a great place to see the enemy jungler path through on his way to gank your lane

They call it pink wards for same reason anime fans call their shows by japanese names even if everyone else knows it by its english name. Example Shingeki No Kyoin instead of just Attack on titan. It's more important to feel special than to be understood.

the especially ironic thing here is that "Attack On Titan" ended up being a bad translation of the title for really specific reasons

Trying Camille jungle now. Any general advice? I try to do a cheese gank mid level 2 as long as it's not a champ with a lot of escapes. So far a lot of fun compared to Volibear. Which I excel at in general, but his kit is quite limited tbh. I am mostly interested in matchups like Morde and how our ulties work together and such. I think I want to ban WW since he's strong in general now and I feel like his kit counters mine.

volibears kit is not limited, the only limit is on yourself. you must become one with the bear inside you, as if your inside and outside do not match you are but wearing a bears skin. g-dspeed goon.

Cool to see Urgot in his giant spider leg glory. I forgot Galio's scale, pretty sure he could probably just step on Sylas and they'd not have to deal with him anymore

Few humans understand true pain.

It is said that no pain can be greater than the deletion of Twisted Treeline. Scoring the first 5+ in Schmidt sting pain index, the removal of TT has been described as feeling like an endless stream of needles, perfurating every pore of the fingers. Those who have suffered the event can often be heard screaming at night "We need to take their altar" and "They're doing Vilemaw" repeatedly.

"For many years, we've been wanting to expand the lore of Runeterra" - a Riot representative said - "but in a way that conveyed the true extent of its grandiosity to the real world. The event where Gangplank dies was an interesting idea, but we have learned much since then. So we're taking what we learned and iterating upon it, and we're focusing on linking the players with the very champions they play. The first step in this great initiative is to allow TT players to experience the unending pain of Urgot, the nihilistic despair of Maokai. We want you to feel what it feels to step on Teemo's mushroom."

The event, labeled as "cruel and unusual" by authorities, has been considered highly unethical. Specialists have first tried to medicate the 10 TT veterans with half a dose of TFT, and half ARAM, but with no success.

The League lore as viewed through a neoliberal lense:

Noxus is the evil MIC

Piltover is a technocratic Utopia (they don't see the irony of Zaun being the literal downtrodden underbelly)

Ionia is the mystic Far East Orient theocracy, too backwards to properly embrace scientific innovation but maybe their yoga is worth copying

Demacia are the good guys, sure it's a dynastic monarchy but the king is benevolent guys. There's an MIC but it's a force for good.

Sylas is literally Bernie. Bernie just hasn't done any murder yet.

Ty for listening to my Ted talk

Oh I actually am not making the suggestion that somehow Demacia are the good guys in that scene. Sylas has a point about the Mage thing, and Demacia's terrible system is terrible, to the point that Jarvan IV was going to change things for mages until he believed Sylas killed his dad.

Sylas meanwhile doesn't necessarily care who he hurts in his quest for freedom, which is a good thing but also means that any innocents in his path are in danger, so it's a bad scene all around.

Pillbug
Sylas is right but he's also blinded by pretty raw hatred. He's the dangerous revolutionary that you can understand but don't want to be alone with. You can simultaneously be correct in your cause and use it as an excuse to do abhorrent things. He's a good character for a fighty game but in the real world he'd be a monster. The mage treatment in Demacia is a holdover from the old lore; Demacia is portrayed as the closest thing the setting has to a good guy but they're also flawed. Mages being kept from casting magic happens because magic is portrayed as pretty unpredictable and ultimately very dangerous. It's why summoners and the League of Legends happened in the first place; magic is totally forbidden except on the Fields of Justice to prevent another Rune War from happening. The last time people actually fought a war using magic the world almost ended and people generally prefer to, you know, not blow up the planet they live on.

Of course summoners no longer exist and that chunk of the lore is ??? right now. Even so the lore is going in a grittier direction where Demacia isn't totally pure and good and Noxus isn't all pure evil. Demacia has a pretty rigid class structure which is bad while Noxus is purely meritocratic which is good. Demacia is still the nicer place as its ruling class is benevolent but they're still a kingdom.

The institute was not a blanket ban against all magic, it was specifically Rune Magic that could tear apart the entire world if left unchecked. That sort of magic still exists in the new lore, and it's specifically what Ryze is trying to hide in his story. Proto-Demacia suffered during the Rune Wars, and specifically are escapees from cabals of Dark Mages who lost their magic upon entering the Petricite Forests. Thus the new nation is formed with a great fear for magic beyond just the Rune Magic that can actually destroy the world, which alongside Kayle and Morgana's early actions leads to the rigidly hidebound caste based anti-magic civilisation of modern Demacia.

They've actually almost completely fixed the break caused by the removal of the institute if you've been keeping up with all the lore developments, it's just not always easy to do so.

As for Noxus, the problem there is that it's ultimately the remnants of the tribes Mordekaiser enslaved who overthrew him, and thus they're still at their heart a people who believe in the ultimate freedom to do whatever you want provided you're strong enough for it. They have rules, and punishment for crimes, but they'll also turn a blind eye if you can prove yourself to be competent and capable in whatever role you force yourself into. Boram Darkwill also was causing an assload of nepotism and lived for several centuries which Swain and Draven overthrew when the majority of the army was away on campaign under Darius.
