Considering how fast McCarthy and Rivera got jobs, Garrett won’t have to wait long to be a HC. If the Giants offense shows signs of improvement he will get another shot as soon as next season. Or he will get the promotion when Judge flames out. Owners love retreads and Garrett is at least a proven commodity (although gently caress if he didn’t have some all-time talent on offense propping up his record). Maybe Washington is an unsolvable shithole of a team, but on the Bengals he always seemed like a "good OC, bad HC" kind of guy. I liked his years in Cincy, even if he hates running the ball. If he was the HC of a well-enough run organization and he was good at it, I'd be shocked.
